It depends on what you use in Washington starts at .084772 then goes up to .102581.

The problem is after they do all the power charges then they add on lots of other charges (taxes in essence) that come to nearly another 25%.

They aren't near where they will be. http://hotair.com/archives/2008/11/02/obama-ill-make-energy-prices-skyrocket/

7.345 per kWh, an increase of 2.535 per kWh this month, >31%. Given that we just had weeks of below zero weather, this hurts. Oh well, part of the cost of living here (whimper).

Ours in Cowlitz County is .05120 (5.12 cents/kwh)for residential, and I'm sure we have add-ons like everyone else.
We are on what we call "Budget Pay", where the year's usage is figured out for the coming year based on last year's usage, then averaged out into 12 even monthly payments, and billed accordingly through the coming year. At the end of the year, any difference from actual usage for the year is figured into next year's average monthly payment.
We don't come out ahead, we just get to pay the same each month, so there are no huge winter bills and small summer bills.
Our monthly payment was $97/month. Then some past overcharges by BPA got credited to everyone involved, and we are now paying $63/month. I don't know how long before the overcharges no longer benefit us, but at that time we'll go back to $97/month.

Our house is about 2,000 sq ft, and our heat is electric baseboard and a fireplace insert. The fireplace does most of the work, and the electric heat usually only comes on at night, if at all. We basically heat with wood, and we have no gas appliances.
