I know some of you other nuts like to window shop, so let's who can find the best bargain on Gunbroker. The first one to get their find purchased by a Campfire member wins.

Just saw a NIB winchester model 70 extreme weather sell for $718.00!!!! Yeah I know it doesn't count, but there are still some good deals there. I'd like to see peoples responses too. I may just help someone win this thing, bsa.

There's always a steal on there, if you look deep enough. I made the mistake of looking a shotguns a month or so ago and found a Benelli SBE II (camo) LNIB with a locking hard case for $750 Buy-it-Now. Of course...I did.

Didn't want to give this one up because I might want to bid on it in the last 15 min of the auction. I think it will sell for around $750.00 if all goes right smile. Well maybe not now since I'm showing you guys!!!!!!

Steelie, that's nice. I ran across one of those in just about as good of condition as that at a local estate sale for $200.00. I still kick myself for not buying it.

Screw online auction stuff, nor buying from folks I 'don't' know, just not my thing. Guess it's the same reason I'd never consider online dating.

I'll not purchase a rifle from someone that hasn't the sense to bed a 375 before shooting and also runs a Tasco on said rifle.

That's the best people to buy 'em from, they don't know much about them.

Of course now, there will be 250 people sniping it in the last seconds. I'm glad I posted it...I sure would buy it and can't even pay for the guns I have ready for me now.

Hell, I might even bid on it.

Krags are cool...white line spacers and waffle pads are not.

The G&H is classic looking....but has an undisclosed reserve price, which I hate, and a 20 in. barrel on a .270.

so thank goodness, I can resist those two. next?

No

I'm surprised it didn't fetch a little more.
Posted By: bsa1917hunter Re: Gunbroker Challenge - 12/26/10
Me too. Just talked to the guy and he said he was wondering why so many people were looking at it in the last hour smile
Posted By: MissouriEd Re: Gunbroker Challenge - 12/26/10
So far I haven't seen anything I'd buy from my MIL. Gives a new defination to POS.
Posted By: tex_n_cal Re: Gunbroker Challenge - 12/26/10
$730 for a M70 in .375 is pretty sweet.

Krags aren't very strong, but they were smooth, and well made. I'm eventually going to give mine to the other side of the family, but I might just look for another one after that.
Posted By: Cheesy Re: Gunbroker Challenge - 12/26/10
While you guys are looking, feel free to find me a classic stocked classic 7x57 for pennies on the dollar.

Pretty much same here. Several rifles I want bad and I look on there every few days but no way I'd buy it off gunbroker unless it was listed by a gunshop that was within driving distance and I would just drive over there and look at it/buy it.

I thought it was pretty neat but it's as of yet to be determined if it was a bargain. It could have a $10,000 reserve price for all we know.

Where can you get an Remington 700 ADL for 330? Serious I need a few long actions with 308 boltface. I have barrels and stocks but not enough actions.

Academy. Right now they are $349 but they've been doing a deal where they put them ons ale one week a month or something like that for $329. Even at $349 I think you come out ahead with shipping and transfer fee and the unknown of a used rifle/buying online etc...

Remington 700 ADL's
Posted By: EddyBo Re: Gunbroker Challenge - 12/26/10
Thanks. It is 80 miles to the nearest Academy, but next time I am through I will check that out. I have to figure whether I want to pay for shipping, or waste the time and expense of travel plus sales tax. It is probably a wash.
