I know some of you other nuts like to window shop, so let's who can find the best bargain on Gunbroker. The first one to get their find purchased by a Campfire member wins.
Just saw a NIB winchester model 70 extreme weather sell for $718.00!!!! Yeah I know it doesn't count, but there are still some good deals there. I'd like to see peoples responses too. I may just help someone win this thing, bsa.
Interesting, but not my cup of tea
There's always a steal on there, if you look deep enough. I made the mistake of looking a shotguns a month or so ago and found a Benelli SBE II (camo) LNIB with a locking hard case for $750 Buy-it-Now. Of course...I did.
Real steel and walnut. Can't beat that.
i just scored a nice lefty win. model 70 7mm stw off gun broker lets just say i stole it

Didn't want to give this one up because I might want to bid on it in the last 15 min of the auction. I think it will sell for around $750.00 if all goes right
. Well maybe not now since I'm showing you guys!!!!!!

Steelie, that's nice. I ran across one of those in just about as good of condition as that at a local estate sale for $200.00. I still kick myself for not buying it.
I want a Krag in the worstest (technical term) way, unfortunately I DON'T do Gunbroker.
Scott, those actions are smooth...........
If anyone was wondering what gun a pimp was carrying circa WWI, now we know.
... unfortunately I DON'T do Gunbroker.
Scott...can you share why not? just askin'

Is that YOU who got that rifle??? I was watching it and it disappeared about 36 hours ago..
I was wondering who stole that rifle.. GOOD JOB!!!!
Screw online auction stuff, nor buying from folks I 'don't' know, just not my thing. Guess it's the same reason I'd never consider online dating.

Well, I'm happy it went to a member here.. If I hadn't already bought a couple of bargains, I was
seriously considerin' it..
Last one I saw like that, I bought it and converted it to my .257STW..
Guess it's the same reason I'd never consider online dating.
What, you don't want to date women with serious mental problems?

Better act fast on this one...
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=207443394That would be great for a hog hunt.
Notice the silence? Somebody is counting their money.

I didn't say I gave up on women completely.......
I didn't say I gave up on women completely.......
LMFAO!
Brian.
That one sure is nice. I'd say it is a very good deal, but I keep asking myself do I really need a 375? It is on my watch list incase I change my mind.
I'll not purchase a rifle from someone that hasn't the sense to bed a 375 before shooting and also runs a Tasco on said rifle.
That's the best people to buy 'em from, they don't know much about them.

is there another kind?
As if I'd expect he'd know how to box one up so it survives shipment.
Of course now, there will be 250 people sniping it in the last seconds. I'm glad I posted it...I sure would buy it and can't even pay for the guns I have ready for me now.
The women you meet on online dating sites are a different sort of crazy. We're talking "just got out of the mental institution" crazy.
Brian.
Looks like CAS is making a move on that .375 ouch and ouch
In the spirit of the thread, the first one to go to eharmony.com and get married wins.......
You have a funny definition of WINNER
Okay, that's half a point for me. My game...my rules.
Here's a Springfield, maybe a Sedgley, that needs to be rescued...

Hell, I might even bid on it.
Krags are cool...white line spacers and waffle pads are not.
The G&H is classic looking....but has an undisclosed reserve price, which I hate, and a 20 in. barrel on a .270.
so thank goodness, I can resist those two. next?

Did CAS win it?????
how about a nice Sedgley Sprinfield....in a Roberts?
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=208174034yeah, I know the guy is delusional about the price, but it's still a cool old rifle.

No
I'm surprised it didn't fetch a little more.
Me too. Just talked to the guy and he said he was wondering why so many people were looking at it in the last hour
So far I haven't seen anything I'd buy from my MIL. Gives a new defination to POS.
$730 for a M70 in .375 is pretty sweet.
Krags aren't very strong, but they were smooth, and well made. I'm eventually going to give mine to the other side of the family, but I might just look for another one after that.
While you guys are looking, feel free to find me a classic stocked classic 7x57 for pennies on the dollar.
I want a Krag in the worstest (technical term) way, unfortunately I DON'T do Gunbroker.
Pretty much same here. Several rifles I want bad and I look on there every few days but no way I'd buy it off gunbroker unless it was listed by a gunshop that was within driving distance and I would just drive over there and look at it/buy it.

I thought it was pretty neat but it's as of yet to be determined if it was a bargain. It could have a $10,000 reserve price for all we know.
Yeah but for $30 more than the starting price on that you can buy a new Remington 700 and avoid shipping and possibly sell the factory barrel/stock for a few bucks.
Where can you get an Remington 700 ADL for 330? Serious I need a few long actions with 308 boltface. I have barrels and stocks but not enough actions.

Academy. Right now they are $349 but they've been doing a deal where they put them ons ale one week a month or something like that for $329. Even at $349 I think you come out ahead with shipping and transfer fee and the unknown of a used rifle/buying online etc...
Remington 700 ADL's
Thanks. It is 80 miles to the nearest Academy, but next time I am through I will check that out. I have to figure whether I want to pay for shipping, or waste the time and expense of travel plus sales tax. It is probably a wash.

Someone said Dicks has them but I'm not sure on that we don't have one.
