I have a 77 Sharps with a new barrel that is almost ready to go, a pistol-gripped Hawken that is just beginning the long road to becoming a reality, an Alex Henry long range muzzleloader that is 90% done, and a low-wall action that is the subject of preliminary creative planning.

A Browning SA-22 is on the way now. Gray SS barrel, nickel finished receiver to match, laminated stock, and octagon barrel.

Stocking a nice old FN Herstal 1893 Mauser (7 x 57) that's was bubba-tized by some cretin. Hopefully it will look like a 1920's guild rifle when I'm done. With express sights, the works.

Replicating a 1920's BSA Sporter (leaning heavily on the looks of a Lee-Speed Rifle) built on another Bubba-tized rifle; #1 Mk III Smelly. This one hasn't really had anything bad done to the metal, and has an excellent bore (rebarrelled in 1922). Same as above; express sights, barrel band front swivel, etc. May finally get to try a little checkering on the forearm.

My last deer rifle. 'Hate to hang up the old 99, but she's getting heavier, and for some reason the hills seem to be gettng steeper lately too. Thinking it will be a Remington Model 7 in either .308 or 7mm-08, or possibly the same chambering in a Model 700 Mountain Rifle. 'Wouldn't pass up a Model 70 Featherweight or a T3 Lite if the price was right either though.

I am done with rifle buying for a while. I have been re-aquiring shotguns for clay shooting and on the hunt for a Winchester 101.

After seeing Ingwe's faux TI I've had a hankerin' for the same build but chambered in .260 Rem.

It all started years ago when dreaming about THE perfect sheep rifle. Sadly, I've now missed my chance for ever being able to do another sheep hunt - that and actually having a chance at a legal one. Having a lightwieght all weather mulie/lope rig is still a good excuse for putting one togther though.

Custom Model 70 7x57.

A custom 7x57 reamer is on order from Pacific Tool and Gauge. Going to put a Brux #2 Standard Sporter 22" barrel on it. Have not made up my mind on the stock, but it will be synthetic.

A Ruger MKIII Talo Distributor special .22 pistol. Maybe a 7mm-08 if I can sell a couple of safe queens.

Found my next gun last week and am waiting to pick it up end of this week. Found a pre 64 model 70 in 243 featherweight. Except for someone adding a pad it looks almost new.

None planned. I want to shoot the ones I have. The snow is finally melting here and I will get to the range this week and go hunting more. The new 32mm binoculars (Leu.7-12x 32) are really working well. Light weight and even good with glasses.

The new Minox and 7mm WSM need to be sorted out. I saw a Stevens Visible Loader in the safe that I can't recall ever shooting.

Maybe I will sell a gun. The market is so bad however.

If the right .308 winny comes along I may get one of those as well, probably a Steyr. I really do feel flush with just about everything I want. May even sell a few to make room in the safe.

Haven't run across any lately that I have to have. I have been toying with the idea of getting another Shiloh 1874 Sharps probably in 45-90 if it goes that far. I have 3 45-70s (only one is a Sharps) and just have the itch to go a bit bigger.

I have been buying and selling the last couple years and am pretty set for now. I forsee the next gun as either being a Cricket type for my little girl or a lightweight 223 or something along those lines for the kids. That is gonna be a while either way. Oldest turns 5 this summer and has not shown much intrest in what dad does. currently doing a little tweaking on other guns. Should get my McSwirly for my 338 in the next couple weeks, bed that in and do a trigger job and that will be done. Also have the wood stock removed from my 7RM that needs to be re-finished. I would replace the stock, but I already had it full length bedded and pillars installed, and I just like it.

It actually just happened (not ny design), as I stumbled onto a lightly used Tanfoglio (EAA) Witness Match, in .38 Super. I ran a couple-hundred rounds through it over the weekend, and I have to tell you, it's a sweetheart.

Dies, and bullets are on order, as is some Starline brass. To be honest, It's going to be a chore besting what the pistol did with Remington, PMC, and Mag Tech factory 130 grain loads. Once I got dialed in, one-inch groups (supported) at 25 yards were boringly routine, and I broke clay pigeons that were propped into the berms all the way back to 50 yards.

'Tis a shooter this one.

Maybe a AR or a Highwall, hows that for opposites.
