They sell them at Cabelas...might give you some ideas.
Save your money on CL and buy one of these.

I've had one for five years and you will never build one to equal it.

Those are cool. But Part of the fun is makin it. Just remembered I got a donor blender (its stainless thats how I roll) grin Found weedeaters for $50 Thinkin I might talk to the ol guy that ussually sits on the side of the road with a bunch of old mowers and weedeaters for sale. Dont wanna be in this more than $100
I know it can be done because a friend of mine made one powered by a weed-eater, I just don't remember exactly how he cobbled it all together now. He and a group of coworkers were big into attending Jimmy Buffett concerts at the time. They made a portable "Tikki Bar" they'd set-up and along with the weed-eater powered blender was quite the attention getter. I've seen it demonstrated and it works but as one would expected it's noisy and a bit on the smoky side.

Went to my college friends wedding up on the Kansas/Nebraska border. Those extreme rural farm kids with engineering degrees know how to throw a party.

Anyways, they had a weed-whacker powered blender known as "The Daquiri Whacker", not sure how they coupled it together, but it was a hit.

Almost as good a hit as thier margarita machine. Started with a new garbage disposal (I assume it was new???), mounted a Culligan water bottle to the top of it. Exit of disposal stubbed out a few inches to a 't'. Straight out from the 't' was a ball valve, after the ball valve was an elbow, this was the dispensor. The other leg of the 't' went back to the top of the culligan bottle as a reciculation loop. They'd cut a hatch in the top of the bottle for them to add their mix, ice, and liquor. Flick of the switch and it started making their margaritas. When it was time to serve they'd just open the ball valve a little bit.
Tune in to the Red Green Show. HE will have a method. grin
Weedeater is ripped apart and the blender is gutted. Looking way simple, Square drive female fitting on both the weedeater and the blender. Had the stand made but changed direction. Soon as thats done then I can make the driveshaft and pour in the ice grin
