Yesterday I was making my monthly walk through of the local pawn shops looking for gun deals. Nothing gun related, but one shop had a Husqvarna 346XP on the shelf. I spotted it as I was headed for the door. The price was $250, but the owner said $200 cash would buy it. I was in too much of a hurry to start it, but it looked fairly new.

When I got home I called the local saw shop and found out that the saw sold for $500+ depending on bar length. So the question is should I grab it at that $200 price? I have no knowledge of this particular saw, but I understand that it is in Husqvarna's pro line. I do own a Husqvarna 61 that is over 25 years old and has been a tough and dependable saw.

Thanks,
Leon

Good saw (for it's size) if it hasn't been thrashed.

I will go back tomorrow and check compression. If good, I think I will buy it. Overall, it looked well taken care of. We are three months out from a major tornado and I am guessing that someone bought it for tornado clean up and no longer needs it.

That's a nice saw, real nice limber.

Thanks Dave, that was what I was thinking. It would make a good light saw to accompany my Husqvarna 61.
