I don't particularly like Romney but,,,,,,Perry is getting his butt kicked by everyone on the stage. Especially Mitt.
Posted By: krp Re: Perry-Romney - 09/23/11
Romney... the illegitimate child of John Kerry and John McCain...

Feels slimy and speaks like a liberal republican without a clue.

Perry is the latest flavor that hasn't addressed the real cancers destroying this country, basically plug him in with the others as 'the least we can settle for is 2A protection and SC picks'

We need a chit load more that that, none of the choices are stepping up... we're Fooked at this point...

I think that moron Perry is going to lose it to Romney. It was his to lose, and he's doing it.

Quote
Bachmann said that Texas's law allowing in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants acted like a "magnet" for illegal immigrants. Perry's response was forceful and personal. "I don't think you have a heart," Perry told his critics.

If there is going to be a real difference maker in the GOP, they better get in the race soon... this is Fing embarrassing.

It's a pitiful scene that we can't even get a half-ass decent [bleep] to run for Prez.

Doesn't speak well for the current generation much less the USA.

We might be [bleep].

Might be! The understatement of the year Sam but I like it.

I really believe we need a candidate from the generation below the one that has F'ed this country up... Romney, Perry, Newt, RP don't apply...

And to be clear, it's a failure of the system.

I can think of at least 20 members here(of that generation) who would be excellent Presidents. Of course none of them are politicians.....

About ready to say "f'k it" and let the whole thing to through the schitter.

It was very obvious tonight that there are only two viable candidates for the nomination: Perry and Romney.

The rest of the comedians should vacate the stage and let these two have at it.

I have not endorsed Romney or Perry.

This whole approach to "Government" is looking pretty goddam insulting, IMHO.

Lets hope the funny part is when they figure out we think these people aren't worth a [bleep] and if they don't run someone that is the Tea Party is going to kick a lot of RINO ass under the bus.

My feeling is they couldn't be playing into the Tea Party's strong hand any better than they are and they really aren't even holding a pair.

Can you show me where the most transparent government sent the TARP money (dem congress and senate) and QE 1 & 2 (all 3 branches dem)? If you can produce this information you are superhuman. The efficiency of Federal Government has been estimated to be between 10 and 25%. The government has required health insurance compabies to pay at least 80% for treatments. Where is the problem?

FWIW, my take last night was there were three who did very well; Bachmann, Paul and Cain (not necessarily in that order).. The worst, IMHO, were Perry, Romney and 'robo-thumb' on the left...

My wife said Perry looks like a Ken Doll lite... That, or a bad imitation of Alfred E. Newman..

Your standards for judging candidates belong in beauty contests, not political races.

Let them "duke it out" and let's see who looks the best in the end. No one candidate will appeal to everyone, so lets get that straight. The bottom line is that we need a significant change. Unfortunately we have to wait til Nov/'12 to decide and Jan/'13 to actually get it.

Make no mistake, there also needs to be veto proof numbers in the Senate and a larger cushion established in the House.
Last Nov/'10 was a good start with 7 Repub. Senators and 63 new Repub. House Reps.

Hopefully the Country can survive until then!

Bullshit....and that's exactly the attitude Obama and his thug army are counting on.

Everybody on that stage fundamentally differs with Obama and the democrats on the issues most of us care about. Nobody looks like Reagan...get over it. Most people didn't think Reagan looked like Reagan until after he was in office. You don't get to pout and sit it out.....it's Obama or one of these. Or somebody new who jumps in. But the country can't survive four more years of recession and three Obama supreme court justices.
Posted By: Spanokopitas Re: Perry-Romney - 09/23/11

It is now a two man race.

Get the rest of the comedians off stage and let Mitt and Rick have at it. One of them will be the nominee. I'm still predicting it will be Romney but I have not endorsed him or any other candidate.

funny chit, how quickly the winds blow in and then out on a candidate... a couple months ago it was all about 'The Donald' lol

The only reason I discounted those two early on is because the struggled communicating their message in the debates. Both have gotten much more comfortable with the campaigning and in my opinion, are now much better candidates. At this point in the process, there should be clear front runners. But the front runners are destroying each other. I expect the "2nd tier" to close the poll gap here soon. Should be interesting. And I have like Newt from the first debate too.

So are yor're voting for Romney?

Perry writes that Social Security is unconstitutional, knows that as President he would have to take an oath to uphold the constitution and then says he slam dunk guarantees he'll keep this unconstitutional program in place for the next 20 to 30 years for those already retired or near retirement. Perry says and does whatever is politically expedient at the time. When it was to his advantage he was a democrat, when he's pandering to Latino voters he's for no fence and in state tuition for illegals, when he's pandering to Tea Partiers he says Social Security is unconstitutional, when he's pandering to retirees he slam dunk guarantees to keep Social Security. Perry is more like Blagojevich than Bush, and I don't trust anything he says.
Posted By: MacLorry Re: Perry-Romney - 09/23/11
Perry just got caught in another lie. When Bachmann went after Perry in the last debate over the HPV Vaccine issue, Perry says he was lobbied by a 31 year old woman with cervical cancer, but he signed the executive order mandating the vaccine before he ever met her.

Perry is just another Ron Blagojevich.

I am still of the opinion, now even more so after last night's froth that Romney will be the nominee.

Like my people in Texas said Perry is rapidly flaming out.

The reason I have not yet endorsed anyone is that my people are in constant contact with most (not all) of the candidates and can truly not choose the candidate certain to beat BHO.

This is serious and difficult business I can assure you my people are hard at work and will soon recommend a candidate worthy of my endorsement.

Please be patient. I promise I will announce my endorsement here minutes (or maybe seconds) before I go national.
