As was said, where are they going? Classic or any movie is now much more available than at any time before. When I was a kid, you pretty much had to wait for them to come on late-night movies on TV or if they were really good and you lived in a big enough city, there might be a revival at some art house theatre.

Richard Crenna
Peter Ustinov
Shirley MacLane
Harry Morgan
Terry Garr
Jim Backus

I thought it was a riot as a kid.
Actually, it was a failure at the box office.
Couldn't find it in DVD the last time I looked.
Figured Shirley MacLane bought rights to it and locked it up.

There sure are a lot of great movies out there. A few of my personal favorites are Jeramiah Johnson and Fort Ticonderoga

The Boys from Brazil, with Gregory Peck and Laurence Olivier. Wow!!
It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.
The Mouse That Roared.
Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines.
Mad Mad World had virtually ALL the comedians of the day in it. Mouse was a cold war classic, and Peter Sellars played multiple roles...If you decide to watch them, it should be noted that Mad Mad World and Magnificent Men are REALLY long -even by the standards of the day. Nobody has the patience to sit through them anymore.
Ironically i saw the movie The Train again last night on TV.... it was with Burt Lancaster... B&W film about WWII french train conductors... for some reason I really like that movie....
"The Gun Runners" w/Audi Murphy

"The Wild Geese"

"The Mighty Quinn" w/Denzel Washington
"Far From Home, The Adventures of Yellow Dog"
Das Boot
All Quiet on the Western Front
The Good Earth.
Marathon man
Those are all good choices, but......how about " The Professionals "?
1966 cast.....
Lee Marvin
Burt Lancaster
Robert Ryan
Woody Strode
Jack Palance
Claudia Cardinale
Ralph Bellamy

Great movie....I might have to watch it again. I haven't seen it in a while.
Kelly's Heroes
The Omega man
The Dirty Dozen
Heat
Die Hard with a Vengance
Lucky Number Sleven
Blazing Saddles. It's been butchered already.

Siverado is a modern classic.

The Wild Bunch

Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid

Bullitt

The Great Escape
Old Yeller

Where The Red Fern Grows

Rio Bravo

The Far Country

The Last of the Mohicans

The Comancheros(certainly not the best John Wayne movie, but it was still a fun one)

Soylent Green
Several come to mind... here's my 10 best movie choices, but not necessarily in this order:

1) Patton (George C. Scott, Karl Malden)
2) The Godfather I (the original one w/ Marlon Brando as the Godfather, Al Pacino, James Caan)
3) Gone With The Wind (Clark Gable, Vivian Leigh)
4) The Wizard of Oz (Judy Garland, Frank Morgan, Ray Bolger, Bert Lahr, Jack Haley, Billie Burke, Margaret Hamilton)
5) Rebel Without A Cause (James Dean, Natalie Wood)
6) The Longest Day (Many big stars including John Wayne)
7) High Noon (Gary Cooper, Grace Kelly)
8) On Golden Pond (Henry Fonda, Katharine Hepburn, Jane Fonda)
9) The Caine Mutiny (Humphrey Bogart, Van Johnson. Fred MacMurray)
10)Casablanca (Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, Claude Rains, Paul Henreid, Dooley Wilson as "Sam", the piano player)

Strength & Honor...

Ron T.
Harlem Rides The Range

A 1939 cowboy movie in pretty much the same style of many B/W westerns of that era except the entire cast of characters are all portrayed by black actors.

Dr Strangelove
The Wind and the lion
a few more....
