After various delays since the first week of Nov., I'm finally getting admitted for my bypass tommorow. It's been one stupid thing after another, healthwise, but now I'm in good enough shape to get my chest opened.
Monday they're putting in an umbrella filter in the Vena Cava (keeps blot clots from going up to the heart), then Tuesday AM, they'll do the bypass op.
In about 6 weeks I'll be able to carry on. Shoot, with this and a bottle of Viagra, I'll feel like a 16 year old!

Oh, and sorry to the folks who thought they chased off one of the Tennessee Mafia, although I'm not really sure why I'm in there. I don't even know the secret handshake.

Good Luck...I assume you're going to one of the great heart hospitals in Nashville. My mom and dad both have had heart procedures in the last 2 years in Nashville, and both are doing great. We are truly blessed to have such facilities close by. I know you'll do well, and probably put the bottle of Viagra to good use in the near future.

Actually at Cookeville Regional. Don't laugh, they are rated in the top 10 in the country for bypass work. They're a pretty good hospital.

Been there and done that . The first couple of weeks is the worst . Get up and move even if you hurt and you will recover much quicker. Good Luck.
