Use Ixquick. It is a metasearch engine (searches Google, and Bing, and Yahoo, and Dogpile... and bunch of others.

1) You will not be at the mercy of any single search engine (many of whom make their money buy charging companies to put them near the top of the list of hits).

2) ixquick anonymizes your searches and does not even record your IP address, so you have much better privacy

There even a nice Firefox add in.

John
I typed in gun shops on Google and it brought up a chit load of gun dealer. I use Google Chrome the best browser on the web
I just Googled "AR15" & got millions of results , same when I Googled "223 ammo".

Mike
You have to use the "shopping feature, google will bring up the search results but if you use google shopping it will not.
Just Googled Strum Ruger, Marlin & Smith & Wesson......no problem. Googled a gun store location in Mississippi, yesterday...no problem.

John
Just googled Kimberly 84m hit the shopping button and it gave me about a hundred gun shops.
From Google Shopping ;

The following products are not allowed on Google Shopping:

Tobacco and cigarettes
Traffic devices (Learn more)
Products related to casino and gambling

This.
http://www.google.com/prdhp

It is one section . The shopping section . If you go thru there and search you get no results in your area for a response.

Wife says , porn , gay porn , abortion ,and beastiality all work though . confused
Electronic cigs , knifes , firearms , even cigarette case is a no go for shopping with this part of google

What's a Kimberly? whistle

I tried it with Kimber 84m under the shopping section and got zero. The original poster is correct. This is not internet BS. It is Google censoring gun related shopping searches, not general web searches.

I tried "ar-15" and got 278,000,000 hits, but none if I selected "shopping", yet the ads for several businesses were included. I do get shopping results for "M-16", so maybe Google is just ignorant of what product "ar-15" stands for.

I would keep trying other search terms but I've probably already set off flashing lights and caused alerts to come up on the screens of FBI agents. eek
I wont try and repeat , but fearless wife says even though tobacco and cigarettes don't work , the word hooka brings up a bunch of choices .
Gun dealers boise Idaho (google)

Gives me page after page of local "gun dealers". gun shops, Cabelas, etc etc.
I've used the google shopping search in the past to get prices from a bunch of places at once, and find the lowest price on the net for a gun I was looking for. I'll try and edit the topic.
I bet if you try Google Shopping for "weed" it will come up with a million hits.

Thanks John.
I don't know anyone who uses goggle shopping for any outdoors stuff. Most just use the main search and go to a certain website.
from gleaning the posts above...some seem to have comprehension issues....
