Anyone have a good source of wool ponchos I can order from on line. Nothing fancy, wool blanket with a hole in it. I like them and have recently worn my last one out.

Dunno' if "Tentman" is still active here,......if not maybe JStuart can get you lined out with New Zealand's famous "Swan Dry".

They are the BEST.

Real wool serapes , outta' Old Mexico went extinct about 25 years ago, and are now a High $ item, if and one can find them at all.

Mine are wearing pretty thin, Too. frown

My wife makes them and wool hooded capes out of surplus wool army blankets on her old foot treadle sewing machine. .

Useta use one as a seat cover on my FJ40. Living in the southern desert area of the world the rig never had a top on it, and when it got cold would wear the seat cover to keep warmer.

Cross is correct...even we Australians use swannies, get the zip up the front as it is easier to put on and off.

knife and good wool blanket do the trick around our house. For really bad cold, I love a wool poncho over everything else.
Nash is also a pretty big fan of them.

Friend of mine has a capote made from a hudson bay point blanket. man that thing is warm.
