He supposedly found Christ in his life journey. Porn stars either find religion or then produce porn, it seems. Finding Christ seems to be a "fad" for a lot of people. Who knows if it was, or wasn't, for Harry Reems. I believe he was raised Jewish, at least culturally.

A lot of porn stars from that era have died early and in obscurity. Linda Lovelace died in her early 50s. Andrea True died in obscurity in her 60s in upstate NY. Both Linda Lovelace and Andrea True attended Catholic school. Virtually all of them regret having chosen that life, lured by the prospect of easy money.

IF one studies Jesus ancestry a little, you will notice some really awful charaters in there including at least one (and I think I remember there being two) Prostitute(s). Some people have to sink to very lowest levels of scumdom before they realize that only Jesus can pull them back to life. Many never ask Him to save them. Those who do get saved no matter how bad their sins.

What I'm saying is that some remain within the ranks of Christiandom, regardless of denomination, and others pass through that "discovery process" ... and make a lot of noise in the process. I don't evangelize, so I kind of shrug and say "Whatever." Since I don't want people pushing their religion on me, I don't push my religion on them.

Here. This indicates that he sort of wandered into town (Park City) a long time ago, as the biography states. The bio shows that he died as a Methodist, but is of Jewish ancestry. He was a realtor. At least he was honest - he didn't hide his past by taking back his given name, which then would have been a big deal that he would have had to deal with later. As for Utah, it's really interesting how people can end up in places (states)they never dreamed they'd be living in.

I visit NNDB. It's educational. It's a biography site. For that matter, one can look up Winston Churchill, Richard Nixon, or Joe DiMaggio on there as well. As for your question, I would answer it if I was the OP. Ask him or her that. I only posted in response because I've pondered whether having an occupation like porn star causes one so much strife that it shortens their life. That's something to think about. Why am I here? I like camping, thanks to the Scouts. This forum casts a broader net than just guns.

In the early 70's I was the director of marketing analysis for a dow jones company. The VP of marketing was a man named John Holmes, he arranged for porn stars of that era to attend his parties. I have meet Linda Lovelace, Maryland Chambers, John Holmes, Harry Reems etc. They were no crazier than the marketing people I worked with. It would be great to relive those days again.
