Gentlemen,
If you have a spare prayer could you say one for my Dad. He was diagnosed with a melanoma on his chest today. He is going in tomorrow for some type of full body scan? Hopefully the one he has is the only one and its in the early stages. Stuff like this scares me.
Thanks in advance, Les

Gentlemen and Lynn,
Dad had a full body scan today which was actually just the Dermatologist looking over his whole body with a magnifying device. The doctor didn't find any other lesions he was worried about at all. He took a plug from the one spot he has and said the tumor appeared to be very thin which is a good thing and that the diameter of the actual malignant part was approximately 2mm's. He scheduled Dad with a surgeon to remove the tumor and surrounding tissue. They will then examine the tumor to see how thick it actually is and determine from there what if anything needs to be done. He told Mom and Dad he had a good feeling that the cancer has not spread and that he will be able to totally remove it.

Good news. I pray that a small surgery will rid him of all the cancer.
Sounds like a pretty good report. Thanks for the update and we will continue to pray for your Dad and family.
Great news. I'll keep him in my prayers.
LPB, I had this on my chest several years ago. They will just shoot that area full of pain killers, cut out a football shape of skin, then sew it up. I drove home afterwards.
Don't worry. Best kind to get if your going to get any kind of cancer.

My Dad finally had his follow up today, with the surgeon who removed the melanoma and lymph node. There was no cancer found in the lymph node they removed Praise Jesus! They are going to remove a little more tissue around where the melanoma was but the surgeon said that should be the end of the treatment. He said he expects a full recovery with no complications.
Thank You all for your many prayers. God Bless you all.
LBP, thanks for the follow up on your Dad. Prayers will continue though.
May he be healed by the stripes of Jesus. There is power in the Word, and the Word is Jesus.
That is excellent news!!! Thank you Lord.
Jim
