Hopin everythings well on his end. If youre reading this, God bless ya, hope you have a great Easter!
Yeah. I wonder if he is doing OK.

Be nice to see something from Curdog too.
He PMs me regularly. Ol' Useless (as he calls himself) is still around.
Tell him to chime in. Some of us still learn from him.

I figure him to be busy. New Lady friend and fishing season. miles
Good. Them 2 boys give me some good advice. Hate to see anything happen to em.
I'm pretty sure Ken will respond to any PM sent to him.
I hope Dr. Howell is doing well.

PM him, he will answer you. He is on a sabbatical of sorts. He would enjoy hearing from you I am sure smile
Ken Howell,

He is a good man. I dropped my VHA subsciption when he left them.

I hope you're right Miles.
Be nice to hear what they would have to say about some of the crap that has transpired over the last couple of weeks.

They are not on here, the silence is deafening, that should tell you what they think of the latest round of crap. grin
Ken is good people and has contributed far more than most to our pastime. I think his personal burdens would have put me in the ground a long time ago yet he perseveres and I admire that.

Not long ago I had the opportunity to put a hulk of a BP roundball bench rifle in his hands and inquire if he thought it worth restoring. His eyes sparkled as he examined the work of George Leonard from the century before last. It made the journey worthwhile and his affirmative response was icing on the cake.

If you have not met him in person, you are missing the true picture of the man. It is worthwhile to make the effort. miles
I think Ken's kids are visiting for Easter......
Good
Also noticed MuleDeer (the other one) hasn't been around in quite some time.

You? Senile? Not even! Good to hear things are ok your way, besides the pc. Miss seeing your posts.

I did not leave VHA.

I was in the hospital, in ICU, where I'd been a coma, when I got a terse letter from VHA saying that since I hadn't submitted anything recently (a new rule that I'd never heard-of), I was no longer a VHA writer.

So when I got home several weeks later, I deleted about half a dozen in-the-works VHA articles that my collapse had interrupted.

Haven't heard a mumblin' word from VHA since.
