I can't feel a lot of sympathy on his passing. When the wife goes, I'm buying.

You're entitled to your opinion, No issue there,

Even if you'd been shot in the head, and spent the next 30 years in a wheelchair,

I'd still say your a classless idiot.
Not a sportsfan. Best regards back at you.

I'm just sick of the Brady bunch. Jim Brady was used for 30 years. I hope Sarah can't take the pay cut.

Remember that we reap what we sew and we're remembered by what we say of others. That bell tolls for all of us in the end. I would think long and hard about showing glee in another's misfortune, even someone so clearly on the other side of the fence.

Had he not taken that bullet in place of Reagan; the world might be a very different place.

Okay, you got me there. Just remember, President Reagan didn't turn on us and he got shot also.
He had some misfortune in life that is for sure, he did work for Ronald Reagan, I never had a problem with him, the wife on the other hand and the others that used him well this not the place or time to vent that. President Reagan could have push a whole lot of bad things thru with regard to Guns but did not, A Giant among men. Rest In Peace, James!

I didn't show glee, just not a lot of sympathy, there is a difference. Now when Sarah goes down, I may engage in schadenfreude.
I always thought that the wrong Brady got shot--
I'm not so sure that Jim Brady turned on us either. Just enough brain left to live. DId what he was told to do.

I felt for the man and his family.

I don't agree with her politics and while I wish no ill harm on anyone, when some certain ones are gone it will be a better world. Though others if not multiples will take their place.
Finally gentle mercy came to Jim Brady.

That soulless harpy, sarah brady, can no longer exploit the poor man to advance all the evil that he, before disability, helped Reagan fight.

Fly free, Mr. Brady.

You suffered more pain and betrayal than you were due.
Sorry, but when his whore of a wife goes, I hope she roughts in hell. She is an enemy to the 2nd and everything that's good about this country. Sorry if its too heartless, but she can go to hell.

No he wasn't "used". He was involved in the anti-gun movement long before he got shot. Same thing with his boss.

Yep, we should support Mulford, the 1986 ban on machine guns, the Brady law, and any semi-auto bans that have been or ever will be because Reagan either signed them from the Executive or he was calling on others to pass them.

My feelings exactly. Don't get me wrong, I do not like what she has done but I do feel sorry for her. There she was, wife of a good man and in the spotlight when her world came crashing down. If some mental reject shot my wife in the head I would be pissed too. It never should have happened to Jim Brady.

Yeah, me neither, but I do realize he was being exploited like a circus monkey by his old lady....... Just like Mark Kelly is doing with Gabby Giffords.

When she kicks off I'll definitely celebrate.

I read some of the lefty troll like responses to your rather innocuous comment - overreaction Hmmmm. (got to control the narrative)
God won't care if the Brady's were for or against the 2ndA because He don't live here. The Founding Fathers would because they knew human nature and tyranny and they did live here.
The reaction to the Bradys' overreach got more people off their dead asses and fight to keep this Right from being infringed. Obama is the best thing that has happened for the NRA and gun sales.
?Why does it take so much to wake up Sleeping Giant - Americans?
Isn't the watchword VIGILANCE ?
The left never sleeps when it comes to stealing Our Freedom and Rights.

Obama "failed" every litmus test, yet here he is, abusing a second term.
Stupid is ass stupid does.
Bettern' than 45% never bother to Vote. And those that should not, vote multiple times and laugh in your face.
America, the land of opportunity. Motives not "checked" at the border or anywhere else for that matter.
Representative form of government has been subverted and not working. What now?

From what I've been able to find, Jim Brady was one of the most honorable, honest and funny press secretaries in the past 50 years. On the job, everyone respected and trusted him. The Reagans loved him and RR named the press room after him.

Funny, despite his being used by Sarah for anti-gun lobbying, what others have said here is likely right -- it marshaled the pro-gun forces.

Look at the situation today, which is far better than 20 years ago, even in Illinois and DC. I think that even NY and CT may start to get realistic as the jobs go. MA, of course, is pretty hopeless. (I say that as a longtime resident of NY, MA and IL.) laugh
Anjin, you were aware there're 55 other states? smile
