A&E has cancelled the series.
A&E has cancelled the series.
Bastards! They should've canceled Duck Dynasty instead. That show has run it's course.
I tried to watch some of this silly show. Could not get into his character at all.
I watched the first couple of episodes. Not as good as the first couple of novels, IMO.
That sucks. I've been tempted to watch the series and haven't gotten to it yet. Reading the first book now. Hope that doesn't ruin it for the shows.
Wasn't a bad show. Too bad it's gone.
I hate that, I loved the show, and Starbuck and Longmire were just fixing to get together. LOL. They are looking for another network to take on the show, so all hope is not lost.
Longmire knows everything.
They must have asked for a raise. I loved the show.
Cancelling it after that last episode is just fuggin wrong.
They made what, 3 seasons? Firefly fans would kill to have had 3 seasons.
TV execs hate good TV shows.
Low ratings? I thought it was popular.
Idiots. At least I'm left with the books, which are better, but the TV series filled in the periods between the books nicely.
A&E has cancelled the series.
Bastards! They should've canceled Duck Dynasty instead. That show has run it's course.
Exactly!
SOOOOOOOOOOONOOOOOFAAAAAAABIIIIITCH!!!!! They are idiots without good sense or taste I hope they have diarrhea for the next 5 years and every time they $hit it gets on their balls! Azzholes!
They will probaly replace it with a broke back mountain spin off! Buncha queers. Pisses me off to no end. It was the only show I watch just about.
i really liked the tv series.
Even tho it didn't really always follow the books.
it was filmed in new mexico rather than where it was suppose to take place.
Walt wasn't exactly in love with the second amendment.
But, i did want him to nail that hot blonde deputy, they could have at least waited for that.
Given the ending of this years series, it sucks.
Someone else will pick it up, I'm sure.
They did a great job with the series, imo.
A&E has cancelled the series.
I don't expect much different than that from A&E.
Dumbschidts.
I hope the Robertson's tell them to stick it too...
Gay Bastids
Great show. Hopefully another network picks it up.
Great show. Hopefully another network picks it up.
I'm with you.
I'm hoping HBO picks it up and runs with it like they did True Detective. There's some great titty potential in Longmire that can't show on network TV...
Also keeping my fingers crossed they run another True Detective this year as well. Last year was killer!

Agreed!!! Probably cancelled because there weren't any F A G couples on there!!!
Really pisses me off too! Network Executives don't have a fuggin clue about what's good TV anymore.
Longmire was Definately one of the few good shows I watched anymore!!!
Hopefully it will be picked up. I also hope Walt stays away from Vic,I cant stand her.
Full Story A&E's "Longmire," which recently wrapped up its third season, is the second highest-rated program on the network (second only to "Duck Dynasty") and the most popular original dramatic production the network has ever aired. It's an unassuming police procedural that breathes new life into cop and mystery cliches with a unique setting, the big sky country of Wyoming, and a terrific lead character, gruff old cowboy sheriff Walt Longmire. Indian characters and the local reservation add some interesting twists as well. The cast has an easy chemistry that makes watching the show like catching up with old friends at a weekly poker game.
So of course, A&E just canceled "Longmire," after a cliffhanger season ending that teased big reveals in the stories of the main characters, and left the survival of one in doubt.
That seems like a very odd decision, but as Deadline Hollywood explains, there are some cold business calculations behind it.
3.7 million viewers/episode (avg) seems pretty good for A&E, to me.

The second season of True Detective is filming now. It's going to be hard to match the first season! Sure hope Longmire gets picked up by another network.
Calc's are who watches it??? Older folks. People that put on commercials are looking to reach younger folks. Pizzes me off. How do we find out who got killed????? I got to know.
Well you know Walt didn't. He's the main character. If they were going to cancel it anyway, they could have just as well shown Walt laying dead and the crazy guy standing over him with a smoking gun. It would be about as dumb as cancelling the show after a cliff hanger ending. Stupid azzholes
A&E has cancelled the series.
Bastards! They should've canceled Duck Dynasty instead. That show has run it's course.
Run its course? That stupid show isn't even on the track
I hope Longmire comes back, pretty good show.
I agree duck dynasty has ran its course same old [bleep] now. I hope another network picks up longmire one of our favorite shows.
Am I the only person in America that has never watched Duck Dynasty?
Am I the only person in America that has never watched Duck Dynasty?
No, there are at least two of us.
I liked Longmire. I also liked The Unit, and they canceled that one after 4 seasons. There's a lot of garbage they could can before Longmire, IMHO.
Like that bullshit show big shmo that [bleep] is horrible. [bleep] a&e i hope netflix picks up longmire
Am I the only person in America that has never watched Duck Dynasty?

Make it 3, although I did watch about 3 minutes worth of DD on Youtube. It was stupid enough to guarantee I'll never watch any more of it.
But I'm sure it's REALLY cheap to make, as opposed to a good show like Longmire with scripts an professional actors an real sets, etc.

My God Big Smo!!! I'm with ya, pure idiocy. Its no wonder people all over the country think southern people are stupid, inbreed idiots. Between A&E and the music Nashville is pumping out they are making us look like the idiot that the reporter on the news interviews.
Am I the only person in America that has never watched Duck Dynasty?
Count me in...I do like Longmire though.. Waiting for Netflix to have more episodes..
I was surprised at how good the actor that plays Walt Longmire turned out to be and never any hint of an Aussie accent whatsoever.
I guess this means too that Lou Diamond Phillips is out of work again. Since La Bamba and the Young Guns films he just doesn't seem to have much luck finding steady work in film or television anymore.
But I'm sure it's REALLY cheap to make, as opposed to a good show like Longmire with scripts an professional actors an real sets, etc.
Probably replace it with some naked "reality" show with the good parts blurred out.
Loved Longmire also. They also cancelled Killer Women half way through the first season.
All tv shows and movies have to play by the PC rules you know. The, if you are a cowboy you are a loose cannon, you can't think for your self, you can not be self sufficient, the gov will do everything for you, rules. Who is paying for the new shows?
I halfway liked what I watched of Longmire on NF. But I can see why they cancelled it. Every episode went like this:
Some crazy crime.
LONGMIRE flashes across the screen.
Blonde deputy looks flustered and cusses at somebody.
Dude deputy walks by with his hands on his belt buckle and the camera zooms in on his squinting eyes.
Walt argues with the indian cops.
Ferg wanders into the scene.
Nobody can figure out what happened.
Katy cries.
Lou Diamond is in a bar.
Then Lou Diamond tracks somebody while talking in a forced indian accent.
Walt figures it out on his own and surprises everybody at the end.
The crimes changed, but every episode was essentially the same.

This makes four as I have not watched the show. Cheers NC

Yeah, it was predictable, but had good scenery, a bit of action and a hetero hero with enough personal demons to be relatable to most of us.
It's pretty much a guarantee that it was better that what they'll replace it with.
Are you guys looking for a cookie?
Kinda like logging on to the internet and boasting about not having television.
Longmire was a damn good show. The books are ok too. The author doesn't know schit about guns, but there were some unique other aspects to the show that they got right enough that I found it to be worth watching.
I like watching Longmire. Hope another network picks it up.
I never saw Longmire or DD.- don't get cable down here. Hell, until year before last we still had propane TV sets!
Have read the Longmire books, and liked then well enough, even though they weren't really "challenging", and the author really doesn't know firearms at all. Does have enough sense to depend on a 1911, though! Almost as bad in that respect as the Joe Pickett books.

ok I give you that but don't you think its better than,,,
dude walks in and acts flamboyant
another dude walks in with bags of clothes (he's been shopping)
the two kiss and then tell their adopted son to do their home work
of course the are wealthy and drive a bmw and live in southern callifonia
they have a nanny and work as interior designers
Thats what tv has come to, one big azz [bleep]!
It bleeped f a g f e s t. Wth, its not even a real word.
No chit.
I love Hell on Wheels. Badazz show.
Phags even had to make an appearance there. unphoucingreal

Heck no, but I do look for a little entertainment in my entertainment....lol. If you turn on Longmire in the middle of an episode you're not even sure if it's a rerun or not.

I don't doubt it'll be better than another show. But that doesn't mean it wasn't predictable and a little lame.

At least Longmire was something besides dumbass mo's, dumass L.A. FREAKS, dumbass coonass duck calls, dumbass pawnshoppers, dumbass hunting info-mercial network....................
Network, hell most entertainment should scare the crap outa' anyone with 3 braincells working.
Still wondering what happened to Tony Soprano as well.
