Driving to Texas tomorrow to pick up some puppies. It will be my first time doing more than passin' through. I'll wave as I go past y'all.
Dennis, travel safe! I'm 100 miles south of Waco.
I'm actually going to Evant, TX. the puppies are lacys.
Take your sack lunch, there's one cafe and one conv. store.
Do ya think those Lacys will work in this desert country? Curious to see.
Take care, Willie
I think so, they use them in South Texas and I will most use her in the 5000' country.. Too late to wonder now. I am sitting in a motel room in Commanche TX with a pup smuggled in!
If you ain't seen it, go down to the courthouse and see this famous tree!

Ha, we have two cafe's I'll have you know, along with the store...
Nice!
Post a pic of the new pup!
Well ya got here just in time for the good weather, that's for sure.
Had really hard rains on my way across 190. Big rig in front of me flipped over and landed in the median. Right after that the lady driving in front of me lost it and spun out into the ditch! Finally got through the heavy rains about Eldorado.
Safe travels bud. If you travel 190 back you will be within 2 miles of me but I cant leave this jobsite. Bunch a fun nazis. Lets see the hound!
I came back on I-20. Much easier than winding across 190. Went via 190. Saw two 18 wheelers tip over on the slippery roads. Saw another in Abilene this morning. Damn long drive!
Here's the pups
Oh man!!! What fine pups!!! You did well Dennis!! Love those things!
That's armfull of knuckleheads there.
After you got to El Paso, just a hop over to AZ from there.
16 hour?

I always said that once you are out of Texas, you're almost to anywhere.

Here's the pups
lion dogs?
Sycamore
All I know is 3 pups are really happy.
And your a long way down south.
I had to look them up as I had never heard of them. Dennis, what do you plan on using them for in AZ? Previous poster (Sycamore maybe?) inquired as to "lion dogs?"
They sure look like a cool breed. I sent my wife a link to one of the breeder pages and told her I want a gunmetal one!
You sure have a bit of work in front of you bringin' up three!
Good luck,
geno
I ended up only bringing one home this trip, a blue one. I am going to use her for varmint calling and blood tracking mostly. Luckily, the wife has fallen for her. Thought it was going to be a struggle there.
About 13-14 hours home. Took longer going because of the storms.
