Rest In Peace Stubb - 10/11/14
My father in law "Stub" finally passed away this morning after a two year long battle with cancer. They gave him that name when he was a kid because he was such a little guy and he actually preferred it over his given name of Eugene. Can't say I blame him for that.
He was an impressively tough little guy who shot a pretty accurate bow, played a mean guitar, And taught me how to pan for gold.
He developed and sold the High-Banker gold sluices and I spent several weekends with him going to gatherings around Oregon.
He shot his last elk with a bow while sitting in a tangle of logs with his oxygen mask and nebulizer at hand.
I had only known him for a very short fifteen years.
