Well Bonkers has gone to Rainbow Bridge to wait for me this morning. He passed after a short illness. DAMN, I miss him

We are so very sorry to hear of this, my friend.

We lost one (Tiger) that looked to be his twin not so long ago. He is buried under a big maple tree right by our creek.

Non pet people don't understand how these little creatures become so much a part of one's life and home.

Our Tiger, and his son, Smokey, went to the other side of Rainbow Bridge this last year. One had cancer and the cause of death for the other was not determined. They put up a long and courageous fight until we decided their quality of life was gone. I prepared a little memorial service to honor their lives and we buried them both in our back yard.

I know Bonkers gave you much love and companionship as you did for him. All we can do is cherish the memories until we all cross that bridge ourselves. Rest in peace, Bonkers. You'll be missed!

Cats can be very special pets.. And some real characters as well. My BIL is especially fond of 'em.. I had a few when I farmed but they won't work now around this place.
