Tateman, Ronald D., Sr., 79, of Butler Township, passed away Monday, December 7, 2015.

Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Louise ([bleep]) Tateman; children, Tammy of Dayton, Ron Jr. of Tipp City, Patrick of Springfield, and Joy of Vandalia; 13 grandchildren; and sister, Carol Lynn Henning of Riverside, FL.

He was a graduate of Bowling Green State University; and was also a proud US Army veteran. Ron was a lifelong entrepreneur and business owner.

Ron was a skilled hunter and marksman who enjoyed many outdoor pursuits including fishing, sailing, hot rodding and quarter midget racing. He was an accomplished pilot with a particular passion for aerobatics and experimental aircraft. Ron enjoyed cooking, wine tasting and computers. Of all the passions in his life, none were more important than his family and friends, who will miss him greatly.

Bereavement luncheon at St. Christopher’s (Vandalia) will follow graveside service.
