At the debate Megyn hit Rubio with some tough questions about amnesty. So much for the dopey “FOX is in the Tank with Rubio” nonsense.

Megyn hit Cruz with the same tough questions about amnesty. So much for the dopey “Megyn is a lightweight and picking on poor little Trump” stupidity.
Go take a Midol Meg, then go home, call us in the morning.
I believe people in her position are told by those in power which questions to ask. That is one of the ways they help to pick candidates to vote for the masses.

Not even bothering to attend was a strong enough statement.

Trump said why he wasn't attending...or didn't you hear him??? Spin it any way you want, but I think the majority of voters know why he wasn't there.

Will it matter??? Probably not...

Trump has said a lot of things that his supporters are either rationalizing or completely ignoring...I'll continue to base my opinions on facts of their past record & not on political nationalistic hyperbole...
I prefer a candidate that is interested in serving the country and the american people, not one obsessed with besting FOX. Trump reminds me of Charlie Sheen when the networks had had enough and Charlie kept telling everyone he was "Winning". Trump's every bit as delusional.

Same-same...great example right there...
MEGYN WON. TRUMP LOST.
If he cant deal with a reporter in a debate how can he be taken seriously as a candidate for office. I am sure he will run into lots of people who will not like him and ask him questions he doesn't like or are unfair in front of everyone.

Seema like it will be hard to run away from that everytime

I guess not......if you're 12......
1st, Trump is not my choice, but I do appreciate what he's doing. I applaud his handling of the media and Faux News in particular.

The media has been far too influential in this country for too long. They ceased resembling a public service of any sort and now get their jollies from sensationalism and attack stories. They are a big part of the problem in this country and I like seeing Trump jab his thumb into their collective eye now and then.

I don't care if he won or lost in this latest debate ballyhoo,I applaud him taking a swing at Fox and that self-promoting, closet liberal Megyn Kelly.

megyn is a self centered talking head, with no concern other than how she looks on TV, and when is her next salarly bump coming.

That ain't what the polls say.
The polls say Trump and Cruz have dropped a little.
Rubio has bumped up a little.

If it gets down to him or Hillary yes!

Do you really think he is running from a "debate"? You may not realize it, but you reveal the stupidity of the matter in your post - debates are not controlled/dictated by TV personality reporters. If ever you have participated in a true debate you should know the difference.

Those events are a media show where the "reporter" is seeking certain responses and gets to aim canned inquiries at certain participants. That "reporter" is not even conducting an actual interview with a person. Other than the limited prepared remarks by the participants is a highly orchestrated Q & A at best.

The Kelly woman has refined her process for pointing prickly personal questions at pre-selected targets and she knows how to incorporate some snarky stuff while smiling for her audience. She probably manages to come across to some fans as an "expert" because she gets to ask the pre-set questions and can appear as though she knows all of the proper answers. After all, she is a performer at the base level - her job depends on that.

I think it would be interesting to see some exposure of such puppets - have some genuine experts put them on the spot with tough questions on topics that matter. I would bet that the Kelly woman would show mediocre at best.

In the general. Not the primary.

In the primary I'll vote for who I KNOW will support the 2nd.

WOW.....can someone please tell me the difference in the Lemmings lining up behind Trump and the Californians that elected Schwarzenegger for governor because he claimed to be a Republican.....
California Kid, if you think any politician is there for your benefit or for the benefit of this country, you need to get out more.

Yes.

Some like their liberals with an accent.

Others like their liberal with a permanent duckface. grin

... Because he's a lightweight with no substance behind the cute sloganeering rhetoric. He can't stand up to Megyn Kelly and he's going to win against Putin and ISIS? Maybe if he plays them at video games. Oh, wait, he'll probably be offended when they beat him.

If him becoming the nominee weren't so serious Trump's candidacy reality show would be as comical as The Celebrity Apprentice.

I'm not pushing Trump and, yes, he uses a lot of flamboyant rhetoric and talks around the direct answer to some questions. He may be light in the political leadership sense as well and he may not be showing the behaviors one would want in a President, but the guy is anything but a lightweight when it comes to dealing with people and business - and this stuff is like business to him.

He easily can stand up to a semi-shallow show biz news reader like Kelly when he wishes. I don't know exactly why. but he had a reason for blowing her off and staying away. His reasoning seems different from mine and maybe yours - probably one of the reasons he is a billionaire.
He leverages everything, because he can.

Because he wanted them to take a hit in the ratings. He thinks in dollars and cents. The main reason he is a billionaire.
Don't think this had anything to do with money or Fox ratings. The Donald has a huge opinion of himself, a pretty weak ego - the reason for all his self promoting defensive BS - and very thin skin.

Terrible combination for a guy who could wind up with the power to take us to war and the ability to launch the nuclear triad. BTW, since he doesn't know what that is, he is unlikely to use it.
MK is pregnant.

Donald ain't down with pickin' on pregnant women.

shocked sick.....
I think Trump was raised in a "Richie Rich" type environment, and probably hasn't had to be polite to anyone except maybe his parents since he was a teenager or young adult.
He's obviously a narcissist with a huge ego and thin skin ; he can dish it out but doesn't take it very well.
I don't think he was at all afraid of Megyn Kelley, and skipped the last debate for a couple of reasons:

1) He just wanted to see if he could get the Fox ratings to drop so they would lose advertising revenue to use as leverage later on when he deals with them (that's how he thinks....$$$$).
2) He didn't think he had much to gain from showing up at that debate, and knew they would attack the front runner.
With him gone, Cruz became the front runner and they threw the flack towards him, and the points made about him changing his stance on amnesty, coupled with his poor attempts at humor which did not turn out well made him look bad.

I think he knew exactly what he was doing, and it doesn't appear to have hurt him at this point.
Plus Cruz has dropped in the Iowa polls at the last minute with no time to regroup.

Who knows how the Iowa caucus stuff will go with their history of surprise wins there, but it will be interesting to see.

Just my take on it.

Last night Megyn gave that Democrat spokesperson (who looks like his embalmer did a poor job) a near total pass on lie after lie defending Hillary.
She let him get in everyone of his lying talking points twice and thanked him for being there (to lie, apparently).

It was awful.

megin is nothing but a bimbo twat
Yea,
She would probably be better off over at CNN, or one of the other networks, but Fox seems to be heading to the dark side more and more......

If you recall, Reagan skipped the last IA debate also..

Obviously, he couldn't possible be taken seriously as a candidate for office..

(tongue in cheek there.....) smile
anyone spouting Fox talking points to defend Fox News over Trump isn't paying attention.

set Trump aside for a minute

This is Fox News - the conservative network dedicated to supporting conservatives of America - the "fair and balanced" network

and their moderators attempted to eviscerate the Republican front runners for President during the debate. Not ask them tough questions but tear them down just a few days before voters go to the polls to vote in the first primary.

Did you see Fox News do anything to promote the republican party as the party to lead this nation over Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders?

Instead of worrying about whether a Billionaire who has got more pussy in life than a gynocologist is worried about a woman who wouldn't have a job without her tits - you should be worried about the network that claims to represent you is doing all it can to put a democrat in office

Does this sound like a network supporting conservatives?
---------------------------------------------------------
With no Donald Trump on stage to draw her fire, Fox News host Megyn Kelly took aim at the next two highest-ranking candidates during Thursday’s free-wheeling Republican debate, leveling Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio with a series of devastating video clips that turned their own words on immigration against them.

“Senator Rubio, we’ll start with you,” Kelly said, pointing out that the freshman lawmaker had vowed to oppose legalization and citizenship for illegal immigrants when he ran for Senate in 2010, playing footage of his promises at the time. “Within two years of getting elected you were co-sponsoring legislation to create a path to citizenship, in your words, amnesty. Haven’t you already proven that you cannot be trusted on this issue?” Rubio’s eyes widened. “I do not support amnesty,” he stumbled, as Kelly cut him off, repeating what he had, in fact said. Rubio pivoted to talking about ISIS, but Kelly wasn’t ready to let him off the hook. “Governor Bush, do you agree Senator Rubio has not reversed himself on his immigration promise?” she asked, allowing Jeb Bush to continue the argument for her as the two sparred over who was the bigger squish on immigration.

Ted Cuz was next to receive the video-montage treatment. “Senator Cruz, when Senator Rubio proposed that bill creating a path to citizenship, you proposed an amendment [that] would have allowed for legalization but not citizenship,” Kelly began, noting that he had since claimed to have been against legalization all along. “You argued that this was just a poison pill amendment,” she continued. “But that is not, however, how it sounded at the time. Watch.” In clip after clip, millions of Fox News viewers watched as grainy video captured the senator’s apparent betrayal. Cruz hit back at Kelly’s portrayal of his position, but the damage was done. For a candidate who’s staked his reputation on a hard-core commitment to his conservative base, the mask of sincerity had slipped. Kelly turned to Rand Paul to finish him off, asking the Kentucky senator if he bought Cruz’s response. “It’s a falseness,” he replied. “And that’s an authenticity problem.”
If she was less good looking, she would probably have a back office job.

The questions asked by the "moderators" are scripted and asked in a specific order, this according the Biear today on FOX.
Megyn Kelly couldn't ask a tough question if her tits dependend on it..

Buttsinger you're a joke..
anyone that thinks Fox is a 'conservative network' just does not watch their programming. They are as liberal as ABC or CNN. They do have hotter chicks though.

FOX has always claimed to be Independent, not Conservative. "Fair and Balanced."

I thought everyone knew that...
