traditionally german doppelbocks names all ended in "ator". so technically, that should be big buttinator. just doesn't roll off the tongue right though. good on leinies for doing it though. hows it taste and whats the ABV?

I just gave a six pack of those to one of my step sons last night. I wish I could drink Lienie's but they sure don't like me. I don't know what it is but they give me the worst indigestion imaginable. That is too bad as I have had some pretty tasty ones. It is even worse as the step kids drink them and I have to bring my own when I go to their homes.

My days back in Minnesota, I remember when Leinenkugel would release their Bock Beer each season, there were a lot of places that would take pre orders... it was so popular, that few if any hit the shelves in some of those stores...

talking smaller mom and pop stores... not the box stores...

it sure was awfully popular... I always picked up a couple of cases or 5....Good Stuff Maynard!

Quitting drinking is easy, I've done it hundreds of times.

Try Wasatch Devastator, it's 8% and is a "bigger" beer than the Leinie.

Don't really know what it means, but it is damn good. I been waiting for it to show up and it hasn't got here yet. i been drinking the hell out of the Vanilla Snowdrift Porter though, and it is nearly as good as the Dopplebock.

Another worth trying is Abita Andygator. It is a Helles Dopplebock, 8%.

I'd consistently rate their Vanilla Porter as their worst offering.

I'm not much for vanilla beer either.
