Yup, Steyr HG50's.
My understanding is:
The National Iranian Police Organization bought the 800 rifles allegedly to use them against drug smugglers in an £8 million order placed with Steyr in 2005. Iran then started feeding them to the Shiite Militias.
The Austrian government, who gave legal permission to export these rifles to Iran expressed "serious concerns" about the re-export reports. (I'm sure they were "shocked, just shocked" at these reports.)
We (The US), captured over 100 of them in raids as of 2008. They are believed to have killed about 170 US and coalition soldiers as of 2008.
