I got the 20oz Yeti for Christmas last year - fantastic mug. I'll have to check out the Ozark next time I go to Walmart.
Somebody gave me a gift pack at Christmas that had one of those Yeti mugs, a bottle opener and a ball cap that set the giver back $50. I couldn’t believe it. The mug works great but not that great. Cold coffee doesn’t bother me, and some people even pay extra for ice cubes in theirs.
I've got Two Yetis and I just got an RTic. The RTic is the same thing.
what I can say about yeti, is tis a bit warm here in TX in summer. Well most of the damn time too.

Carolyn puts ice in hers, takes it to work, adds tea at noon and it still has ice in it when she comes home...

Never seen that with anything else.
Interesting...

I clicked on photos for test procedures and results and just got bigger photos....
They are all made in the same factory in China.
Sure looks like it...Im gonna check them out!
I can't say about the Wal-Mart brand for sure but the RTic is identical to the Yeti and holds ice just as well for half the cost. I have both so I know. And since the RTic is obviously made the same, I figure these Wal-Mart ones
are too.
My wife got me a 30oz one that also appears to be identical. It's branded Mossy Oak (but its not camo), made by Haas Outdoors (in China) and sold by Sportsman's Warehouse. It's another one that will hold temperatures for a long time. I can sip on it for 3 hrs and the last coffee will still be hot.
I can't find it on their website so I can't compare the price.
Try a Hydro Flask. I use the 18oz. at work, and recently bought 1 for the wife. They perform as advertised.

We have Yeti tumblers and they are great.
The wife bought a bottle neck SS QT container at a gun show, that kept hot tap water, hot over 24 hours, and warm three days.

We figure it is the same technology as Yeti, also from China.
The weight of the Yeti koozie has my brain thinking I've got more beer than I really do.
I have the YETI lowball that I drink coffee out of in the morning and then rinse and drink whiskey out in the evening.Best damn cup I have found. I didnt see the lowball size cup in Ozark Trail brand, will have to keep an eye out for that. I was looking at the RTIC brand coolers, but have not seen one in person yet.I know people that have pre ordered, but no one I know has received theirs yet.
Yup, have the yeti tumbler Great for coffee or a afternoon drink, also the yeti 160z well the wife has pretty much taken that one , have to check out the Walmart brand!
The boys bought a 20 oz Yeti for me last Father's Day. My wife bought all of us boys Yeti koozies engraved with our surname engraved for Christmas. I don't see that I will need anything more.
I got a Yeti tumbler. Love mine. Same as some I use it for everything from coffee to , icewater to whiskey. If i pack it full of ice at 9 am I can just keep pouring room temp water in it all day. I pretty much just carry a case of bottled water with me instead of a cooler full of ice and water. Its funny it was a gift from a buddy of mine that is a general mgr of a walmart super store. I will have to check with him on those Ozarks. Inwoukd like to get a set for my hunting camp but not lookng to spring for a half dozen tumblers from yeti.
Thanks for the 411. I'll need to check it out.
Probably Yeti had a factory in China start making them, then the factory decided they could sell to other people. Not the first rodeo in China smirk
I just got one of the 30 ounce ones at the local Walmart. It was the last one, so they must go quick. I'll give it a try, and see how it works.
Yeti.......for they person who thinks ice in a cup is worth $40
I can't speak for the other brand but I am greatly impressed by my Yeti tumbler. I haven't had the chance to use it in really hot weather yet but I know it will keep ice water for a full 24 hours indoors.
It doesn't work quite as efficiently with hot beverages due to the heat loss through the slotted lid but it will still keep coffee warm for several hours.
My wife and kids gave it to me and had a personalized engraving put on it. I really like it.

In EU you could buy one made in place like Italy or Germany for same or less. Forty USD is lot of money for something likely made in PRC.

Don't be a dick. He's right, especially when the OP's posted study shows the $10 tumbler is exactly the same thing, with both made in China.
Saw both size tumblers in Wally's today, 8 and 10 bucks.
Who needs either of them?

Drink faster. shocked whistle

I could give a chit about the products but I get tired of Slavic never missing a chance to come on here and tell us how great his EU socialist eutopia is and how fubar the US is...YMMV....
I save money by buying yeti stickers and slapping them on all my stuff.

Figure whenever I sell anything, I'll sell it in Texas and make a fortune!
I just don't see the need for a koozie though. I don't sip my beer slow enough when it's hot enough to matter.

The wife and I just ordered 20 and 30 oz Rtic branded tumblers which are half the cost as Yeti. I'll have to check Wally World for the Ozark branded versions. This is right up my alley as I'm a cheap bastard when there is a cheaper alternative
I tried it out with some coffee this evening. Still hot after 4 hours.
I must be missing something. When I want a drink, I drink it. I do on not want my coffee hot for four hours, i want it to get cool enough, then I drink it.
The Wal-mart version probably won't sell nearly as well as the Yeti even though it's the same thing.

From what I've seen people seem to buy these things so they can be seen walking around with something that says Yeti on it in their hands. After those $400 coolers came out it seemed like any redneck worthy of the name had to have one (or more). I suspect some guys had coolers worth more than the trailers they live in.

These Yeti tumblers seem to be the redneck version of the Air Jordan sneakers all the black kids kill each over. Another might work just as good, but the point is to be seen with it not how it works.

Unless your in a duck blind in January with a Nor'easter blowing'em in off the North Atlantic. Or in your case, maybe a blind on Presque Isle in December with squalls and bluebills blowing in from Canada... Or maybe your not from that part of PA. I've had plenty of lukewarm coffee in blinds out on the beach.
Never hunted waterfowl, and live at the bottom of the state. I would use my Stanley for that though. I do understand the use for it now though. I just tend to drink stuff fast, if I were holding a mug it would get drank.

That's what I'm thinking. If I'm thirsty I drink, none of that nursing it all day. Blows my mind that people will pay what they pay for something so unneeded. But each to their own.
