I feel stupid, I only got 20 out of 30 right. Don't cheat
http://www.zoo.com/quiz/firearms-quiz
There are a couple tough ones in there, no doubt.
The one I missed, I knew it was one or the other and picked the wrong one.
I got 20/30 as well, I will admit to guessing on a couple
Surprised myself.... I got 26 of 30. Some were very easy; some were so tough I was just guessing.
25/30, some of history question were WTF questions.
26/30
It was rigged.
I was cheated.
27 out of 30. I knew better on both the AR and the plastic pistol, but missed them anyway. I had forgotten the stupidity that was Squeaky.
We all could probably make up a list of 30 questions that we could ace and others would miss a few.
What did the convention say?
I got a 21 out of 30, I did some guessing
28/30. I have no friggin' idea what the Australians used against Emus so no shame in that. I did miss the first plastic pistol question, should have known better.
21 of 30
I got more pure guesses right than misses that I was fairly sure on.
24/30
Forgot about Squeaky and don't care about or for plastic pistols.
Somehow I got 31/30, but I am used to overachieving...
26/30. Forgot about that piece of crap plastic pistol. Should have got it right, as I actually fired one of the darn things. Horrendous trigger.
28/30. Missed the Davy Crockett and the plastic gun.
29/30
I wrongly chose the falconet as the Chinese weapon of the 13th century
29/30 Picked the wrong first "plastic" pistol.
21, never heard about the Ford deal.
29/30. Didn't know the Davy Crockett either.
29/30. The ftf assasination by derringer got me.
I knew about the Davy Crockett. It was in an outdated munitions spec pamphlet I got by mistake in Fort Sill, 1986....
About a decade+ after they were canned...
I went 25 of 30 Started out strong, failed badly in the middle, then finished strong. The "dawn" question really stumped me! memtb
Surprised myself.... I got 26 of 30. Some were very easy; some were so tough I was just guessing.
+1
24 of 30 here, I missed some stupid ones and some I just didn't know
29/30
Squeaky's a beotch !
27 of 30. No, really 27 of 29 - Davy Crockett was an unfair question and should be disallowed.
But I beat Ingwe.
I got 27/30 on one I knew the second I hit it, it was the other answer, but thought they were trying to make a trick question. Should have got 28, oh well.
28/30.
Who knew Sam colt didn't invent the revolver.
And on the Ford question:
Didn't chamber a bullet.
Or didn't load the gun.
I figured with that wording it was a crapshoot, and I rolled a seven.
28/30
Bitten by Squeaky and Davey Crockett
20/30 I was guessing on quite a few.
25.
Wasn't up on assassinations and dueling.
I got 27 of the 30. the plastic pistol was one I missed. Cheers. NC
27 missed plastic pistol, didn't even understand the dawn thing, and got Columbine wrong.
Honestly the one about the emu's in Australia I was guessing...The Brits & Commonwealth nations all made great use of the Lewis Gun, so I just went with that and I got it right. All the rest I knew.
25.
Wasn't up on assassinations and dueling.
The dueling, there's a pretty big following. Dueling pistols made by the Joseph Manton and the Egg brothers all cased with the loading tools are quite the collectors pieces these days, and can go for some real money.
Here's a case pair by the master himself, Joseph Manton (Manton had all the greats working for him at one point; James Purdey, Thomas Boss, William Greener, Charles Lancaster, William Moore.)
Good luck trying to find a flaw on a gun made by Joseph Manton. I've had the honor of shooting a Joseph Manton .45 caliber flintlock sporting rifle. It was absolutely magnificent.
22 dammit. got caught on a couple I knew but didnt finish reading all the answers lol
28/30.
Who knew Sam colt didn't invent the revolver.

Same exact ones I missed.
24 out of 30, but I haven't been around as long as most of you old fu ckers here....
27/30
Thought Glock built the first polymer frame pistol. Screwed up the assembly line question about Sam Colt. Didn't know the name of the recoilless tactical nuke was the Crockett.
Really didn't know a lot more, but was able to make a few educated guesses.
26 out of 30. I challenge the question about Colt not inventing the revolver. Guessed correctly about the assassination attempt on Andrew Jackson. Did not know about and guess incorrectly about the "Davy Crockett" nuclear weapon. Guessed correctly about the Lewis gun and emus as the Lewis was an English empire weapon. Got the Squeeky Frome question wrong as I remembered something about it not being loaded; I see it was the chamber that was not loaded. Had no idea that the Glock was not the first "plastic gun", so got that one wrong also. Overall, I am satisfied with my score except for the Colt revolver issue.

You can be forgiven on the plastic pistol thing. The VP70Z was such a steaming POS that EVERYONE is trying to forget about it.
27 missed plastic pistol, didn't even understand the dawn thing, and got Columbine wrong.
I missed those three too....got a 24....
Back when the History channel was not reality tv and ancient aliens dorks I saw a snippet of a test film of the Davey Crockett.
Seems the instructions called for you digging a foxhole to fire it out of as the blast was probably going to come back over your head as it didn't shoot very far. I think they mentioned that everyone who shot it was pretty much guaranteed to get radiation poisoning and or cancer. Bitchin nuclear bazooka there Bazooka Joe!

Scored a 25, but missed all 3 of these. I thought Henry Ford was given the honor of inventing the assembly line, and Eli Whitney the interchangeable parts thing along with the cotton gin, so that only left the Revolver for Sam. Must be mad cow disease, as I have been watching re-runs of Boston Legal. miles

Browsing the TV yesterday while it was raining, and saw a show (on History channel, I think) about a young man making flintlock rifles and hand forging the parts. He said that people at gun shows would tell them it was a really old rifle, and would not believe Him when He told them that He had just made it. He is in Romance, Arkansas which is only 25-30 miles from me, and I have never heard about this. Romance is a very small place too. miles
29. Never heard of the Davy Crockett
I can see that you are coming close to your alloted limit of posts for the year. Don't worry if you go over. I got your back.
Your 24HCF friend in Northern Illinois.
30
i got 24 out of 30.
I missed 2 obscure ones that I originally was going to guess what would have been the right answer, but changed my mind and, thus, got them wrong.
I got up to 18 out of 20 when I had to leave for 15 min. The game reset and I had to start over to continue. I didn't.
29 out of 30. Davy Crockett wouldn't have put his name on anything nuclear!!!!!!!!
28/30 - made educated guesses on a couple.
Missed two. The one about the first plastic gun and one other I now forget.
25/30, never heard of a Davey Crockett nuclear recoiled rifle.
29 out of 30. Davy Crockett wouldn't have put his name on anything nuclear!!!!!!!!
He would have happily on the last few days of the Alamo.
29 out of 30. I never have paid much attention to plastic pistols.
