My sammich maker goes in for surgery tomorrow AM, they will perform a radical mastectomy. After a month of healing she will have 6 months of chemo and after that she will have 6 weeks of radiation treatments.
The good news is last week she had a PET scan and it showed no cancer anywhere except for the areas they already new of.
It's going to be a long hard road for her but with Gods help and grace she will survive.
Thanks to all who provided prayers and good thoughts, they WORK period, and they mean a lot to those affected. I showed her the other 2 threads I started and when she was done she was crying and said you guys were good people, I told her she was starting to hallucinate.
Please keep her in your prayers.
Well wishes for you Michiganders
Godspeed and happy to read they haven't found it elsewhere.
Tell when she gets better will put together a donation and get a set of boobs put on her back. That always made more sense to me anyways....grin
You got it. Keep your head up Paul.
My best to you both through this difficult journey.
I'll keep your wife and you in my prayers.
You bet I'll pray for her. My wife went through that a few years ago. It is tough for them.
Sounds like good news even with the bad, sorry for the bad and prayers for all, give her all the love and companionship you can...
Phil
Then more on the way. She is lucky to have you. She must be as good as can be to have someone like you at her side. God's blessings on all your family.
She's got prayers from me. You, well you're tough and a great supporter right? Remember a man's job, be the rock your wife needs you to be.
Prayer's sent for both of you and an extra one for a speedy recovery for your wife!
Wifey and I are pulling FOR YOU BOTH! Compadre!! Good vibes your way!
This Agnostic heathen has both your wife and you in his best thoughts.
My money is on you guys posting the great news 60 days from now.
Godspeed and happy to read they haven't found it elsewhere.
I'll echo Scott on this one. God bless!
Yall have been on my mind off and on the last few weeks. I will continue to pray every time y'all cross my mind. As always in the name above ALL names. Tell your wife to replace fear with faith, that's what the Holy Spirit told me a couple of weeks before my dad told me he was sick. He's still kicking.
The best to you and your wife Paul
Best wishes and prayers from a couple who've BTDT. God can heal - "The Warden" is 6 years out, now!
Best to you both and a full and speedy recovery
God and my guardian angel worked overtime to save my aze a few weeks ago, I'll send them in your direction for you and yours.
Hope the best for both you and the bride. Tough times for sure.
Our best from here,
Two family members went thru this, been over twenty years now. Both are doing fine.
Glad the PET scan was clear, Paul. You both continue in my prayers.
Ed

Continued prayers from N.C. Thanks for the update.
I will continue to pray for both of you.
Paul,
Prayers for you both emminating from our small corner of ID. It's sure a tough call, but a positive attitude and the greatness for the appreciation of life will go far.
Like I said before Paul... if she can put up with you, she can handle anything!
Prayers still headed your way.
My wife and I both lost our beloved mothers to the scourge that is cancer. If we never see another person die from this, ti will not be enough. We will be thinking of you and your wife and praying hard for a good outcome here. Have strength, and trust in the Lord.
Heartfelt prayers sent from Minnesota.
Good luck and Godspeed.
Deepest support and sympathy. As you already know, attitude is everything in this situation, as people can overcome it.
For women, this is about the worst kind of cancer in terms of mortality, so word that there are no other signs and that they got the bad out is very good news. Yes, you have to monitor closely and do the chemo, but they are getting better about that every year!
Good luck brother. I hope it all works out for you and your family.
Prayers on the way. My Wife went through this in 1998. Wishing you and yours the best. Just beware, at some point this is going to effect you too.
Prayer is powerful for healing and for our human spirits. We know because our family has been through this - and both your wife and you will have my prayers every day as you win this battle.
Prayers and Best Wishes for both of you.
Paul, my MIL lost one breast in 1999, and then other in 2008. She's a "C" survivor.
Although the surgery is radical. The treatments, the physical pain, and the mental anguish are terrible at the time.... SHE CAN OVERCOME.
Thoughts & prayers.
Jeff
Thoughts and prayers from us on this end.
you've a firm grasp on what lies ahead pard.
it's going to be tough on her and tough on you
if a guy is lucky enough to have a woman worth loving, it's the most damned helpless feeling in the world to know that you can't save her, all you can do is support her while others try and save her.
you'll both remain in my prayers
and yes these salty dogs were a source of comfort and inspiration to us when we walked that tough road.
the campfire may be azzholes, but they're our azzholes and some of the best damned folks on the planet.
