After seeing your "carry" pic yesterday, I suspect it may be infecturd....

Have you had follow up visits with your doc? Infection is the enemy. I tore up 2 fingers, broke with pins and stitches about 15 years ago. They had me bathing it daily in warm water and IIRC epsin salts. After the pins and stitches were removed it took about a month of 3 times a week physical therapy to get most of my dexterity back.

For what it's worth if you think it is infected, get it looked at pronto. I was lucky it was my right hand (left handed). Good luck.

Go now, Roger.

Indeed. Nothing that happens suddenly with a wound is good.

Even if they don't have an appointment available, got to his office and they will work you in.

Could be it's a deep infection and you need more or stronger antibiotics. I've had that happen the few times I had to have stitches in my hands or fingers. The outside healed closed faster than the inside. Infection trapped with no way to drain.

Roger that looks pretty uncomfortable . I remember when I was a younger and had a problem with a hurt finger the old "Docs" at work told me to soak it in "CIDER" .
It didn't work for me but you could try it . Jim

I wouldn't be cranking my outboard until that's all done and behind you. If you must, get help with it.

I'm glad they're healing up. They still look pretty awful though. The human body is an amazing thing.
