Picking out a male German Shepherd in a few weeks. The Breeder is on "O" names. Need a name that starts with "O". My short list so far are Oz and Otto. This will be for a working dog.

Well.. I think i'd be tempted to go with Odin.

Working dog huh...make sure it is one syllable and distinct so the dog can recognise the name when you are screaming and throwing things at it.

I just got a mutt from the pound. He's a 1 year old lab and he's my best buddy. We went with the name Ollie.

I can't imagine letting someone else tell what to call my dog.

I can call him anything I want. The paper name must begin with an "O". All high end breeders have litters that are assigned prefix letters.

If you like Obama you could name him that.
