frown mad

Republican nominee Donald Trump has been clobbered in the White House Watch survey following the release of a video showing him discussing women in graphic sexual detail.

Rasmussen Reports’ latest national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds that Democrat Hillary Clinton has now jumped out to a seven-point lead – 45% to 38% - over Trump. On Friday, the two were in a virtual tie – Clinton 43%, Trump 42%.

The latest survey shows Libertarian nominee Gary Johnson with seven percent (7%) support and Green Party candidate Jill Stein at two percent (2%). Three percent (3%) like some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

This marks Clinton’s highest ever vote total against Trump – and her biggest lead - in Rasmussen Reports polling stretching back to August of last year. It’s Trump’s worst showing in nearly two months. This survey was concluded prior to the second debate between the two candidates last night in St. Louis.

Eighty percent (80%) of voters say they are already certain how they will vote in this election, and among these voters, Clinton posts a 51% to 45% lead. Among the voters who could still change their minds, it’s Clinton 43%, Trump 25%, Johnson 25% and Stein seven percent (7%).

Rasmussen Reports updates its White House Watch survey daily Monday through Friday at 8:30 am Eastern based on a three-day rolling average of 1,500 Likely U.S. Voters.

(Want a free daily e-mail update? If it's in the news, it's in our polls). Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook.

The survey of 1,500 Likely Voters was conducted on October 5-6 and 9, 2016 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is +/- 2.5 percentage points with a 95% level of confidence. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC. See methodology.

Rasmussen Reports asked voters if they’ve ever changed their vote because of presidential debates. We’ll tell you what they say at 10:30 a.m. Eastern.

Trump now has the support of just 71% of Republicans but still leads by six points among voters not affiliated with either of the major parties. Eighty-three percent (83%) of Democrats back Clinton. She also earns 16% of the GOP vote, while 10% of Democrats still prefer her Republican rival.

Eighty-four percent (84%) of Republicans and 86% of Democrats say they are certain of how they will vote, compared to only 68% of unaffiliateds.

Clinton has a 14-point lead among women in the latest survey. The two are now tied among men, a group that has supported Trump by wide margins in the past. Roughly 80% of both men and women say they are sure already how they will vote.

Trump has repeatedly criticized Federal Reserve Board Chairman Janet Yellen for keeping interest rates low to prop up a weak economy for political reasons, an accusation the Fed strongly denies. But only 28% of voters think the Federal Reserve chairman is truly independent of the Obama administration.

Voters remain skeptical about the political news they are getting. Voters also continue to strongly believe that the media is more interested in controversy than in the issues when it comes to the presidential race.

But 45% of voters said in early August that Trump’s biggest political enemy is himself. Just 29% say his biggest foe is Clinton and the Democratic party, while 20% say it's the national media.

As in previous presidential election cycles, however, voters expect reporters covering political campaigns to help their favorite candidates and think it's far more likely they will help Clinton than Trump.
I'd like to see the polls taken after the debate.

Assuming that is all that will come out, of course.

Polls suck.

What ever polls that are out there right now are worthless. Look at the polls that will be taken in 4-5 days and then see who did what.

Snap Polls are popularity contests where those being polled can vote numerous times so should be looked at with a skeptics eye.

I heard it said Carter led Reagan in their polls.

The ultimate "poll" is in early Nov.

I wouldn't worry about it too much yet. I don't buy huge swings on something that just came out Friday afternoon in a race where the candidates are so far apart.

Remember, we know the Dems and the media collaborate. The pussy tape was the opening salvo in a coup. The Dems and the republican cucks meant to take him out and today was supposed to be the day after a crushing defeat in the debate with everything mounting against him. Pence was going to quit and Repubs were going to huddle up to pick a new nominee. But like Hitler in 1944, Trump survived. Like then, the coup continues but it is losing steam because Trump survived and went on the offensive.

So this stuff like the polls, Ryan, and continuing media coverage is just part of the coup that has already failed.

The polls lie.

Here's the enthusiasm exibited at a typical Hillary rally. It basically consists on a fat woman acting like an idiot and everybody else trying to ignore her.

Here's who the 100 respondents voted for in the last election, there's most of their 11 point lead..

No candidate in presidential history has so consistently underperformed her polls in the primaries than Hillary Clinton. She was routinely doing ten points worse than the polls. And no candidate has done so consistently better than his polls than Donald Trump.

Hillary has been propped up like no candidate in history and the collusion between her campaign and the media has bee unprecedented. Wikileaks proved this beyond a doubt.

Seriously, hw many people out there that actually WILL vote are undecided. Another way for me to ask this question is how many of the currently undecided WILL vote, and not just stay home?

The choice and stakes are clear for everybody in this one.

The GOP idiots that are renouncing Trump think they are saving themselves from some moral stink, when in fact they show their gutlessness.

"I renounce Trump and his sexist remarks". Pffft! Grow some hair on your asses and fight.(McCain, Mitt, etc.).

Here is what is going to happen. Trump will get his ass kicked by the most despised woman in the country and we will all have to live with it.

The POS GOP couldn't come up with someone, anyone, to beat her. The same way they couldn't beat the worst POTUS we have ever had, twice.

The folks on the fire will gnash their teeth and cry foul, all while buying every 22LR. they can find, restocking their bug out bags and getting their SHTF gear together.

And BTW where is the martial law and 3rd. term for Obama?

But when those same polling organizations ran polls that showed DT closing the gap, what, those polls were also inaccurate and meant to dispirit Demonrat voters? crazy

Pollsters are living a difficult existence. Their classic methods are not nearly as reliable as they were back in the 20th Century. Not just in American, but look at how pollsters missed Brexit by nearly 10 points. That is a colossal swing and miss. Will shall see in November. What will the the Dems who hate Hillary (there are a substantial number) and voted for Bernie do? Will they hold their nose and go HRC or stay home in protest?

All this hand wringing over some crap that DT spouted 11 years ago. Anyone here that was planning to vote Trump change their mind over that audio? No! RJ and the rest of the liberals here weren't going to vote for him any way.
Posted By: JoeBob Re: Clinton surges in polls - 10/10/16
Meanwhile, Republicans lead the early voter ballot requests in Florida by more than 120,000 and more than 140,000 voters switched to Republican registration in PA.

Polls based on 2012 turnouts and metrics are flawed and many are flatly dishonest in order to support Hillary.

For starters you would have to go past the inauguration date to be able to comment on a 3rd term...
Another ominous note for the Trump campaign are the numbers from major swing states.

Fivethirtyeight has Clinton now leading in 10 key states, including Florida (3.3 points ahead) and Ohio (1.8 points ahead). Both states, critical to the GOP path to success, had been in Trump's camp. The latest numbers also give Clinton the lead in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, Virginia and Arizona.

Martial law, 3rd term. Paranoid delusions. Jade Helm regards

Haven't seen anybody offer up a poll after the debates...just "opinions" from their liberal offices on who won.

I know last election I knew wads of people that voted for Obama. I know exactly ONE person voting for Hillary. A die hard 82 yr. UAW memeber. Plenty of younger union people (myself included) are for Trump.
Posted By: DakotaDeer Re: Clinton surges in polls - 10/10/16
In my circle of acquaintances, the Trump comments and then debate have only served to get people off the fence. In favor of Trump.

I think for the first time many of them faced the reality of this election. Hillary is not politically attractive to anyone; and is a nightmare for any thinking person.

I've seen far more blatant Trump support since the pussy tape than before.

Larry Sabato (University of VA political prof) said tonight on FOX and CNN that Clinton is up by 11% over Trump. He expects that this gap will narrow by the election, but Clinton will still win, he believes.

It'll no doubt be a very close election; because a landslide in hillarys favor would be too obvious.

Garbage in, garbage out. If Sabato is getting his information from a tainted source (and it appears he is), he'll have a skewed viewpoint. NOT pissing on Sabato, he seems straight up enough, but he's wrong now and then, too.
