There are days that call for relaxation with a few of your favourite things. Taken from my patio on just such a day. Gurkha Yakuza, trusty brass Zippo with butane insert, Ruger Blackhawk 45 Colt, and fresh brewed hot coffee in a real man mug.

So, what are the rest of you doing to kill the stress?

Going to a 'friendsgiving' after I hit the shower. Had a nice workout this AM.

I ordered a MAGA hat this AM too.
Funny, I have my SP-101 next to me and in 30 minutes I will be pouring a martini.

Great minds think alike.

That Blackhawk is a sweet rig especially in a 45 Colt.
I love it! I just like to take it out and have it near me and shooting it is a pleasure.
Cut up veges for a kabob meal later. Friends Jim (we just got back from NV elk hunt) and John with wife and grand daughter. Fresh elk tenderloin and backstrap plus-

asparagus
tomatoes
peppers
onions
mushrooms
pineapple

One batch with Mae Ploy sauce, one with Italian dressing. Garlic bread, and cold drinks. It's taking shape.

Fixing to take a shower, my 7&7 is thawing out from being in the freezer and will have my trusty 431PD on the side table. Back in a bit.

Not stressin' at all. Watched my Oklahoma State Cowboys beat the Ft. Worth Christians and set up a bedlam game for the conference championship.

Hillary lost. There are no riots in Idaho. The weather's still pretty good. Time to load up the UTV and go trail riding.
Just had a Vodka and Tonic, my Glock within reach,
Watching college football.
Don't use tobacco
My bad habit is just Diet Coke. Sipping on a cold can, and snacking on a slice of home made beef jerky. Perusing the load manuals. Got some home grown pork chops thawing out for dinner. Working on some 100 gr loads at reduced velocity for the grand daughters 25-06. And killing time at the 'Fire.

I worked enough this week, fuugg it, I took Sat off.
7&7 is just right, icy cold, I smell much better, LIFE IS GOOD!
Met with a really neat character that's been waiting and wanting to show me an "old Marlin, in 44 caliber", that he had no real idea as to, regarding correct ammo, or nuttin' else.
....Been walking on air, and feeling good after fondling it at some length, the owner's bright, and does not want to part with it,....or have it trashed by some hack that buys "Cowboy Loads" from bargain basements.

BEST part of the encounter is that it's likely we'll be able to trace the old beast right back to it's original lair / ranch, and get serious territorial days provenance.

*'87 model in .44 WCF,....
* Almost pristine and VERY shootable bore, yet an exterior that SCREAMS, "I was here, in the SW, and saw ALL of it"....
*Screws are trashed,...the thing's been dismantled and re-assed with Bowie Knives, fencing pliers, and Cafe spoons.
*Mesquite thorn Pommel and Wagon Box wear that is impossible to mock up, or replicate
*Really slick and tight in the action
*May well be, hell, most likely rode in Sonora during that little disturbance that blew by when it was young.
It'll be over for a check up, and re-commissioning (need some 44 WCF brass)
.....will be taking some photos and post em'

Warm Sun and some cool beers made the afternoon smooth, and left us grinning

Some real history there, well worth fondling!
Looking forward to seeing that one Greg.

That sounds and looks damn good.
Pondering this a bit more made me realize that my political stress level severely nose dived a week ago.
We are finishing up a pheasant hunt.. Saw tons of whitetails in the rut.. Had a nice supper at the local hotel.. Off for Carbon Co. tomorrow.. Three 6 guns are in the cabin, mod. 60 .357, M.28 .357, 629 .44 mag.. The truck is outside the door one step with more stuff.

Great ten days up here.. Visited Billings, bought a .22 mag. The dogs ate supper, and we are having a beverage and relaxing.. Thanksgiving with just us.. A bit of elk hunting maybe.. Then off for quail and dove.. The stress is off... Enjoy guys.. Life is good.
Wife and I back from the fitness club. She worked my tail off in the pool teaching me water aerobics. Then to the hot tub, followed by the steam room. After this morning's hour workout on the machines this boy is relaxed.
Your wife is nicer than mine. Since our youngest headed off to college a couple of months ago I am in the exercise room Monday through Friday doing three miles at 4.5 mph on the treadmill, three sets of ten at bench press, curls, upright row, butterflies, press downs and leg extensions. Then we take a 2 - 3 mile walk with the dog who is 14 and slowing. I have never felt better for many years. The dog as well.
I have been at it for bout a month and feeling a lot better. I sometimes do the treadmill. I like a 3 mph at 6% incline for twenty minutes. Been hitting the machines pretty hard, just hard enough to feel a little tender without getting really soar. My back will not do situps so I have been using the machines to work my back and abs. I really want to get abs back.
