Trying to remember when this whole Black Friday name got started, it was only a few years ago.

The Friday after Thanksgiving was always a big shopping day and more or less the start of the Christmas shopping season but I never heard the term "Black Friday". Then suddenly 4 or 5 or 6 years ago it was everywhere, stores would officially announce "Black Friday Sales!".
