He's hit the ground running and the opposition is "reacting." Every punch is getting a reaction, but defense doesn't win the bout.

The US now leads the world in advanced manufacturing and factory automation; it has shed jobs in the unskilled categories (assembly and repetitive tasks). This begs the question of why Donald Trump products are made overseas (neck ties in Hong Kong, shirts and suits in Bangladesh, souvenirs in China, etc.). During the 2012 campaign, Trump was asked about this and he said that Americans won't work for $6 a day. So, what's changed?

The only way that unskilled manufacturing jobs can return to the US is to raise prices enough to cover the higher US wage spectrum; I doubt if consumers will appreciate this.
