Have any of you shoot or owned one of the pistols. I just saw , on sportsmen channel, a show about them. They look pretty impressive.

They remind me of Kel Tecs. Haven't shot one but have seen them in the display of a local shop.
Handled 1 for 1 day. Jammed up enough times that I formed a permanent opinion.
Bought one several months ago thinking it would be a good cheap truck pistol. Turned out to just be cheap. Shot it once and that was enough. Couldn't get thru a whole clip without a ftf.

My nephew has one. We shot the chit out of it one day while he was here. Totally reliable. I liked it. But then again I like kel tecs and other cheap guns, so long as they work.
I had one a few years ago I absolutely hated it, It was reliable but I hated how it fit me.
One of the shortest owned guns I've ever had. The guy I sold it to loves it and will probably be buried with it.
I have quite a bit of experience with them. I've sold them and ran an indoor range where every person buying a new pistol got free range time to shoot their new gun. It was one of the more reliable, out the box, semi autos that we sold. Of the hundreds that we sold, I can not remember a single malfunction that was not shooter induced. I also never had one came back in that was broken.
Don't even think about getting the version with the external safety. Its a poor design that busts your thumb and/or resets the safety during recoil.
Stick to the non safety version and you'll be good to go.

Your experience is 180* out from mine. There are better pistols out there. I would not waste my money.
I have had the SPX-2 model (without safety) for about a year. Had a couple malfunctions in the first 50 shells, has been perfect since. Has one of the best warranties in the business, they will even replace it if yours gets stolen. Watched one video of a torture test, over 6000 rounds until it quit. Like mine a lot.
I heard that the owners are former Kel-Tek employees. Oh and made in America to.

Maybe that is because you were using clips in it? They likely feed better from a magazine.
