Last night when I got home from work I found this on the kitchen counter that my wife left for me.

Can anyone explain to me what I'm supposed to do?

It's obvious that your wife isn't a hunter. Any hunter knows that there are better blades for field dressing, skinning, and preparing smaller sized game for the table.

I knew what she was trying to tell me, but I picked it up and told her that was a lousy mouse trap.

I find that a large bore BPCR would be the best for mice.

Satisfy her directive and go buy one.

Probably supposed to stop at the store and buy the trap first, but yeah, that.

This would probably leave a mark.

Not sure, but personally I'd have a few mouse traps set up in the morning.....

Get her a nice .270 and she wont have to mess around any more trying to stalk them with that knife.

There's Agatha Christie's famous play "The Mousetrap" that's been playing for 64 years straight at St Martin's theater in London (we saw it in the mid 70's). However, in that one, the murder weapon was a gun, not a knife. Maybe she means "Take me or else".
