I think we are pretty spread out as far as age here.
Some you can tell pretty easy by their posts. Some... not so much.
Let everyone know what era you come from.
I'll start.
56.
mentally I'm perpetually 16
mentally I'm perpetually 16
Nowhere did I mention "maturity"....
I'm not as old as most of you azzhats think....but the " Spring Chicken " ship has definitely sailed....
58 but I feel like 88 , seriously
Mike
58 but I feel like 88 , seriously
Mike
I understand completely!đ
61 in July.
And hopefully one year from this July I'll retire!!
60 in june guess that's old enough to know better but young enough to not care!
65 today. Retiring at the end of this year.
50, body seems to be unsettled, runs between 25 and 85 depending on what I did the day before
65 today. Retiring at the end of this year.
Happy Burfday, Jim!
Looking in the rear view mirror at 69 and closing in fast on 70.
I'm not as old as most of you azzhats think.....
That still leaves a lot of room........just sayin
I'm 64+ ... don't look at the odometer!
53 'til my daughter starts picking on me, then I age rapidly.
Fifty Foe kick down da doe!
Aint nothing but a number with a big piece of cake.
66, recently retired and really enjoying things.
Born in 1952....
So mentally, 17 and bullet proof.
Physically, about 80 and really shot up...
I can still run a 5 minute mile...
1. IN my mind,
2. trying to catch up on all the things that seem to constantly need to be done around the place.
the faster I go the further behind I seem to get.
52, wife and I both, 20 days apart.
Just Hit the Half Century mark on Tuesday
Geez, seems like you guys scared off all the youngsters.
47 and starting to feel it, getting old sucks
62... blessed with good health and still able to run a spray truck and not be completly whipped at the end of the day
!
Geez, seems like you guys scared off all the youngsters.
We are the youngsters, Ingwe is only here as a chaperone.
I am 70, yet still an optimist because I get better every day
mike r
58 and can tell it at the end of the day.
72 in July Still apply for elk and other hunts in 6 states. For some reason that I can't figure out, the mountains that those elk live on get steeper every year,
Born in the early part of 1959
i didn't realize you were such a young whippersnapper.
must be that cheap beer.
Geez, seems like you guys scared off all the youngsters.
We are the youngsters, Ingwe is only here as a chaperone.
We will remain youngsters sluggin' it out with father time daily, that is until someone backs a backhoe off a trailer at the cemetery.
I'll be 53 in August but in my mind I'm still a kid.
My daughter noticed I made the masters division in the OKC Marathon and asked how I did that? I had to tell her it's cause I'm old...
Looks like I'm the whippersnapper round here
i didn't realize you were such a young whippersnapper.
must be that cheap beer.
Wimmens will age a guy faster than cheap beer!
36. I guess I am the pup of the group. The Marine Corps ages the joints quicker than most jobs. I would guess my knees and ankles are pushing 50, and the constant ringing in my ears (Tinnitus) doesn't help. Maybe I'm just complaining when I should be grateful. I don't know much, but I know enough to keep my mouth shut and learn from guys like you all. Well most of you!
50. 25 in my mind, 75 in my knees.
57, Seems to be the second wave here.
73 in November. Came from era of Hank Sr., Elvis, Hippies, Ike Jacket and Vietnam. Still do two out of state hunts a year and RSA next year. Happy with all my girl friends.
54 (and so much more . . . )
Jobless, broke, soon homeless, and soon 60.
remember Alben W. Barkley
46. In pretty good shape and still going strong although there's definitely some things I can tell I'm not 18 anymore. Can still do the same stuff at near the same level but it's the recovery time after a hard day that's changed.
I just turned 81. Startin to slow down a little.
Hey man, I'm a really groovy 64. Far out, ya know?
Uh, I mean yo, yo, yo! I'm like 64, dude, and still a swingin' hep cat. Whether I'll get to 65 remains to be seen...
:FORWARD: by Ron LaClair
The years go by and before you know it
your youth is gone and now you show it
Youthful shine and unwrinkeled skin
will never be your look again
Color is going from your hair
as white and gray take over there
Your knees no longer let you run
wind in your face that joy is done
Physcial strength of your early years
is wanning, wanning, replaced by fears
Fear of losing what once was you
fear of not doing what you once could do
Do not believe that all is lost
this look you have you've paid the cost
Those lines and wrinkels on your skin
are maps of battles fought hard to win
The drawn tired look, the sighs of strain
They are evidence of suffered pain
Wear this look as a badge of life
It shows you've gone through trail and strife
Experience, the price is high
and you'll keep paying until you die
but just set your sights on goals ahead
and don't look back but FORWARD instead
46. In pretty good shape and still going strong although there's definitely some things I can tell I'm not 18 anymore. Can still do the same stuff at near the same level but it's the recovery time after a hard day that's changed.
Doing better than me sport...I cannot see anything up to five paces, cannot hear anything past five paces, and need a breather when I cover five paces.

Is that an FZ09? Nice bike. I'm an FZ1 rider... at age 59
Two years shy of the half century mark...
63, but who's really counting anymore?
FZ1 is a pretty hot machine, a tip of the hat to you.
Mines' not quite a 09, it's an FZ 07. Just finished putting a tad over 300 miles on it yesterday afternoon and it is the most fun I can have with my pants on. Maybe in a few more years it'll be the most fun I can have with pants on or off, but so far so good in that regard...
64 last January. Retired this week and ready to play. Uh, after the honey do's are finished.

The 07 is a sweet bike too. Riding to work and back is the highlight of my day.... other than the IPA I have when I get home to my favorite couch.
Still riding my Harley at 81
Four score and two my mother brought me into a cold world (40 below) with snow on the ground. Cheers NC
I think this was a much better place when I first joined..... not as many old farts.
Me? I'm only 45...
...when I joined that is.
Is "too damned old" a number? Especially applicable if you're only as old as you feel.
Excerpt from, âThe Poetic Works of William Smith.â
"THE REAPER
I remember when my friends and I
Thought that youth and games would never die
We cherished the girls, grog and laughter
Ribald at night, meek mornings after
But now maltâs too strong and girls too young
All our stories old, our songâs been sung
We mumble in search of long dead wit
Humor now is the daily obit
Our high is sharing a friendâs demise
He was a fine lad, echo our lies
While we gloat that itâs him not me
Knowing that they always fall by three
Wallowing secure âcause Sam was third
Surely thereâs time âfore my taps are heard
Then thereâs news of the death of old Hugh
Well, hell, that clown never paid his due
Nights alone you feel the Reaperâs chill
Then at dawn thereâs a fine, undead thrill
Check pulse, poke liver, no pain, no fear
Hit the bars âcause heâs dead, youâre still here
No canes or taxis for you today
On this fine and smogless first of May
Jauntily out the door to the street
Gaily you greet all those that you meet
Then as you stroll you think of old Hugh
The wind sighs, âHe was younger than youâ
As a maverick tear rolls from your eye
You know you gotta laugh instead of cry
Youâve done some bad and youâve done some good
You wouldnât change things even if you could
âCause through the years youâve run a good race
The Reaper chased and couldnât keep your pace
So toast those that live and those that die
And while you can, spit in the Reaperâs eye"
Older than I've ever been.
I think this was a much better place when I first joined..... not as many old farts.
Me? I'm only 45...
...
when I joined that is.Damn! So, what was it like posting to threads using punch cards...?
64 but I am not very mature.
P.
I'll be 55 this June, so far so good:)
70 going on 25. I can't believe I made in this far!!
Entering my fourth year of retirement and enjoying it more every day, I'll be 68 on my birthday in October. With replacement parts at all four corners I'm starting to feel new.
I am fully aware that my youth has been spent
That my get up and go has got up and went
But I really don't mind when I think with a grin
Of all the grand places my get up has been!
77
Still killing bucks and turkeys and shooting long range!

54 here as well.
Did ya'll notice Ingwe didn't put a # down?
49 1/2, not in a big hurry for the other 1/2.
Hey man, I'm a really groovy 64. Far out, ya know?
Uh, I mean yo, yo, yo! I'm like 64, dude, and still a swingin' hep cat. Whether I'll get to 65 remains to be seen...
Nice - had a Yamaha Fazer in the late 80's - early 90's. I see quite a few similarities between the two. Boy that thing would stretch your arms out! Have since slowed down - hoping to live a little longer!
Too old to die young and too young to die old. 63 to be exact. I should have taken better care of myself!
Turned the big SIX O a couple months ago.
Is this what seventy feels like?
Old enough to remember when bell bottom jeans were
Old enough to know what a friend meant last night when he was snapping fingers on both hands ( A real hep cat, daddyo)
Old enough to think wool hunting clothes are still the shizzle.
Old enough to remember when kids could walk into a town 29 miles from San Diego with some 22's and have the lady at the cafe counter tell you to put them over in the corner.
Old enough to remember when Mitchell 300 and 308 reels were the ones to own when you outgrew a Zebco spincaster.
Old enough to remember when a Vaughn framing hammer was the approved method of driving American made sinkers.
Old enough to know that the skinny jean trend is one I WILL NOT be following.
Old enough to remember being the very first one in my family to buy a set of radial tires.
Old enough to enjoy the likes of Frank Sinatra, Jimmy Rodgers, Chuck Berry, Lonny Johnson. and many others
Old enough to enjoy the beauty and functionality of a nice walnut and blued rifle
Young enough to appreciate the utility of a synthetic stocked rifle.
Young enough to enjoy the ease of use of modern computers and be happy I never had to learn COBOL and Fortran to hang out on the campfire.
Young enough to enjoy relatively clean air and water compared to what we had "back in the day" in certain parts of the country..
Young enough to enjoy the likes of Five Finger Death Punch, The Pretty Reckless, Texas Hippie Coalition and others.
But as far as a number?....................................
Somewhere between Kaywoodie and FG.
And likely retiring in the next couple of months! (Hip Hip Hooray)
Geno
my mind thinks like a 19 year old. my body is as old as the hills.
i was gone for a long time before being born a bit after WWII on the Urth.
certainly if there's an ounce of justice in this world i'll live to be 104 and no more.
69 for a couple more months.
64. Taking the wife country dancing tonight, that will be 5 to 6 miles if picking them up and putting them down.
I'm beginning to see why this place is such a wealth of knowledge
36 for me
To old to rock and roll to young to die,
but your never to old to rock and roll.
55, but I passed a PT test designed for 21 year old's a couple of days ago. The main difference is that most of them don't feel it for the next week...
40 here, Army had me for half of that...
I'm not as old as most of you azzhats think....but the " Spring Chicken " ship has definitely sailed....
With all due respect, sir...
I don't think ships were invented yet during the Spring of your Chicken!
(Keep in mind I DID say, "with all due respect")
It's interesting how many of us are in our 50's.
I'm 54 and just skimmin' the cream.

Born the day after Pearl Harbor. Me and WW2 are the same age.
45... for a couple more weeks!
1957 model.
Turning 60 is much more painful than 50. Trust me.
30 here. Always said I was going to live to 112 so I can see 3 centuries so I guess I'm just getting going
73 next month and my joints are making me pay now for my misspent youth.
By the looks of it, I'm running in 4th place. I didn't realize there were so many young people around till I got on this thread. I bombed Texas a few days after the Japs bombed Pearl Harbor. My Hover Round is a Kawasaki :):):) Killed 30 pigs in the last month and fixing to go arrowhead hunting. They tell me it's all down hill from here, I'm thinking more like straight down !!! LOL
51 and the youngest of three. Dad is 94 and says getting old ain't for sissies.
Old enough to know better.
59 but feel much older! still have the drive, but bodys getting worn out!
Did ya'll notice Ingwe didn't put a # down?
He ain't gonna tell ya because he's 46 and he looks like he's 64.
55, but I passed a PT test designed for 21 year old's a couple of days ago. The main difference is that most of them don't feel it for the next week...
Did they show you respect or did they tell you to get the hell out the way because you were slowing them down?
60 years I've blessed this world.
What makes it great, is being a grandparent.
5 weeks and it will be 81. Last fall is to be my last moose hunt. But I was out shooting two days this week.
Jim
Same age as the Liberty Model Rugers....

Yeah, but some the things a 20 year old can do, you'd need a fistful of $50's to accomplish.......
Lots of us here in our mid 50's... Interesting for sure.
I'm OK with not many youngsters hanging out here.... Not that they would.

Older than some. Not so much as others ...
I just turned 81. Startin to slow down a little.
I thought I got the "3" part, but 81?.
Thus far you are the pack leader, older even than me!
My age always matches the Super Bowl number.
Better hope that the NFL doesn't employ too many more Cappernecks or there might not be any more SuperBowls. What would that mean?
Old Bryan Adams song....Summer of '69....That's me. I'll be 48 in August
Just turned 67. Some days I feel 47 some days 87......depends on the previous nights.
You guys need to know;
When it starts going away, it goes really fast
I've been doing the gym thing three days a week for ten years and recently I'm not even breaking even
Some trees don't live as long as I have been around!
Chronological age 36. Body feels 66
52 in a couple weeks,I think
Some trees don't live as long as I have been around!
If they are redwoods, you are in deep do-do...
Did ya'll notice Ingwe didn't put a # down? He ain't gonna tell ya because he's 46 and he looks like he's 64.

Older than dirt, and twice as smelly!
61 for them that do math.
John(dog)
63.....looking forward to the day the wife and I are retired.
Sneaking up on the big 6-0 in September.
Some days I feel older than white dog crap.
Other days I feel good enough to get in trouble.
As long as I can feel anything it's a good day!
Older than dirt (70). Still looking at the green grass from the top side. I need a bumper sticker that says "Adventure before dementia."
Did ya'll notice Ingwe didn't put a # down? He ain't gonna tell ya because he's 46 and he looks like he's 64.
If/When Ingwe dies,I think he should be cut in half and then count the rings,to find out how old he really is.
I'm thinking Ingwe didn't write a number down because his rock pen won't hold that much ink.
53 and after this last winter I'm starting to feel cutting Timber for 25 years and damn near 40 years rowing a drift boat.
True!

Dave
Come December eligible for SS..............
37. The last year both shoulders started hurting. Also noticed I've got to focus when doing work up close to my eyes. I can still see things fine I just have to concentrate doing it. I'm sure it will get better in the coming years though...
60 and still roughnecking, I can still climb a rig Derrick, only do it when the crews are short handed though.
That's good work.

42. Act like 25 and feel like 60 some days. I've learned to work smarter over the last 10+ years. I feel 100 times better after getting away from a desk job.
I didn't think all you old fellers knew how to run the internet...
I usually tell kids that ask this, "I was born the last year, of the first half, of the last century."
I was 49 last Sunday, but a nice lady at church told me I looked much older. I was barely able to resist telling her the same.
Speaking of age, the nice thing about dating high school girls is they never get older.
Old enough to know how and still young enough to do it twice.
-------------
I tell the girls that I'm 70 and they say I look good for my age.
--------------
Haven't had my first heart attack yet.
--------------
Got enough hair on my azz to weave a Navajo blanket.
--------------
I'm old enough to not give a schit about almost everything.
--------------
I've bought things that will last me for the rest of my life and I think about new "things" that way.
--------------
I no longer seek my biggest fish or big game animal. I've already caught or killed it.
-------------
I no longer "feel" young.
-------------
I get the senior citizens discount in some establishments.
------------
On one of my birthdays I forgot how old I was.
-----------
I'm getting tired so that's all there is folks.

An interesting oddity is my father was born in the year that Orville and Wilbur flew the first airplane.
I was born in the year of the first rocket launch of a satellite, that went into space, and circumnavigated the Earth.

62. Where did all that time go?

I KNEW IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but do have a sorta photographic memory for people's faces.
Yes, those "shirts" in the photo that YOU are wearing with a hood are perfect!
I've looked those pages over and over a hundred times or more - those are the BEST hunting/camping coats/shirts/anoraks anywhere.
What a cool thing to be able to wear some of those awesome garments - especially for Fall hunting in Michigan (I'm well acquainted with the area - I miss October/November there).
I've looked into making one myself out of a US Army surplus wool blanket though i don't have sewing machine (and certainly not the skill necessary).
I'm hoping to get back into archery (traditional this time) once i find a new j-o-b (the college i work at is relocating/closing their campus).
But yeah, one day I'll save up enough pennies and get one of those shirts like you're wearing - nothing like 'em anywhere.

No doubt!
If I'd have known I was gonna live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself!

66 here but it's been a tough year. Tore both my meniscus, had surgery, before surgery discovered I had an abnormal EKG and wearing a heart moniter. Good news is the plumbing in my heart is good, bad news is the electrical sucks. See the heart dr again Tuesday so we'll see what she says. I was doing good till I found out I wasn't.

Good news is the plumbing in my heart is good, bad news is the electrical sucks. See the heart dr again Tuesday so we'll see what she says. I was doing good till I found out I wasn't.
Damn CJ!
Prayers bud.

Sorry to hear that Buddy! Hope you get some good news from the Heart Dr ! Prayers sent up from TX!
It's good to be old, cause it means you ain't died young.
If Jack Benny could be 39 forever, I guess I can as well?
23 two months ago, just a young buck.
my dad was born in 1924 and he was not past his middle 30's when I was born
46 here. After 7 surgeries, my back feels better in my 40's than it ever did in my 20's.
I think we are pretty spread out as far as age here.
Some you can tell pretty easy by their posts. Some... not so much.
Let everyone know what era you come from.
I'll start.
56.
Pearl Harbor was still burning when I was born; my mother's cousin sailed into Pearl Harbor 2 weeks after that attack and witnessed the smoke and devastation. He always reminded me of that on my birthday.
(75 & 5 months)
Still riding my Harley at 81
COOL!! Keep riding so fast that the grim reaper can't catch up!
I'm 62, and have a 6 year old boy.
Keeps me young and in shape.
72 and I don't complain either.
im a whopping' 33 years old. doing my best to beat the [bleep] out of my body working hard, so when I'm old like you fellers (grins) i can be a cantankerous old prick, and hunt and fish.
I'm 68 but I think my knees are in their late 80's!
63. Retired LEO and Iowa National Guard. I work at the local federal courthouse. 2 kids and 3 grand kids.

Happy Birthday!
54 but with 2 grandkids that keep me young.
Turned 81 the 15th of this month. Decided to finally retire on June 30th of this year. That is until I find another job!
ROUNDUP
I remember when dirt was invented.
58 but feel 28..........lucky I guess.
Damn there is a lot of old farts here!!
Better to be old than dead, 47 in my high school graduation class. 10 are dead. 3 didn't make 30.
so old my greatest worry now is not being able to shoot up all the powder, primers and bullets Ive laid up.
37.
I'm really surprised how many old farts are on this forum. No offense....Lots of knowledge to be gained here.
42 with three kids to chase around(1,5 &9). Back was getting pretty thrashed from a half dozen car wrecks and 20+ years of tossing concrete wall forms around. Been better the last few years since I started doing DDP Yoga.
I'm 71, my knees are 1 1/2, and I have never felt better.
If there is something wrong with me I don't want to know.
Ken
Last I checked, I was in my 55th year. Which means I'm 54 years young.
I felt old, then I got older still.
NOT older than dirt - but, older than asphalt
I remember when they first paved the state road outside my door -1960.
I out-ran a 400+ lb yearling to the corral fence, the other day - butt he gave me a "boost" - leaving a bruise! (Pun intended)
I'm just not as agile as I was before turning 64!

Early 50's
Better to be old than dead, 47 in my high school graduation class. 10 are dead. 3 didn't make 30.
As a 70 year old friend of mine said, "Better to be seen than viewed." I have to agree.
Too old to give a [bleep] about much of anything! Of course it wasn't much different when I was young either...

64 years, 5 months, and 15 days, but who's counting.
64 years, 5 months, and 15 days, but who's counting.
Does that make it Jan 2 of 53? Am I figuring correctly?
Old enough to realize how great every day is.
