Seriously, can you really haul that much crap around on the inside of one of those vests and have it look like you're carrying nothing at all?

Reminds me of that old G&A article where the guy in a tuxedo demonstrated how to carry a bunch of handguns. IIRC, that was the year I let my subsrciption go..... 🤔

Never seen one

Used them at work. The only useful pocket holds your phone. The best part was it had clip holders for an earbud. Way overpriced in my opinion but when it's issued... the price is right.

Very hot in even fair weather. So many pockets it is easy to forget where you stash stuff. When you travel it marks you as an operator wannabe or an old German tourist. Unless you are attempting to conceal an H&K MP5 there are cheaper and less conspicuous alternatives. Poor quality. Way overpriced. Wore one on my first trip to Africa. 2 zippers broke. Has not been out of the closet in 10 years.

My last S vest product was a goretex type jacket issued by my employer. They are very much purpose built. The one I had was made w/ zip off sleeves, hood in the collar and the usual "specialty" pockets and routing devices for cables etc. My favorite feature was the magnetic closures that made accessing a concealed pistol very fast on a cold day. I have passed through customs while wearing one in more than 30 countries w/out being hassled but then I wasn't an "operator"

When you suit up in the morning not knowing when your day will end and need certain tools to be at hand and not obvious they had no peer. I last used it in 1997 and have no idea about their build quality today.
