I didn't even know these bump fire gadgets existed before the shooting in Vegas.
You, and me both Charlie, I could not afford that much ammo, and I don't have any old buckets that need that many holes shot through them. I do however not want any more restrictive laws.
You're not missing much. The BFS's are only for those that have a lot of time behind "Black Op's" or similar video games. If you can hit what you're aiming at then you don't need a BFS. ๐
I saw them years ago and figure if little old me gets into a situation that I need suppressive machine gun fire I've gotten myself into my final pickle.
Same here, bolts, levers and revolvers have done me fine all these years.

LOL. Same here.
Count me in I never heard of them till the shooting!
agreed. I never heard of them before. I bet they make them illegal.

Agreed.....it's a known fact that new gun regs never solve anything....ever.
I am glad to hear that I'm not alone on this though.
I was starting to fear Shefire was right in calling me a outhouse hermit.
I didn't really mind the hermit part (it's actually kinda true) but the outhouse part was hurtful.

Hell I don't even own a black rifle or even a centerfire rifle of any kind anymore.
Ditto here too. Also the trigger thingy
I knew of them, and had seen videos of them in the past. Seems like a good way to put a smile on the face and blow through a lot of (these days) way overpriced .223 or 5.56 ammo. About it. Thought of them as a gadget with no practical use....unless you're stocking that bug out bunker for the end days or want to shoot up a crowd I suppose.

That's about it. If I can't handle it with a sidearm, a bolt rifle or two, an AR or mini-14, and some 20 or 30 rounders, what the hell is a bump stock going to do for me? Keep someone's head down so my 54 year old buddy with the herniated disc and bum leg can flank our assailants?
Would I vote to ban or control them? No. Let the gun grabbers fight for every inch. This will be their new "baby" that they go after. They'll probably get it, and can then gloat how they are "saving lives and have gone a long way to preventing the next Mandalay Bay with this wonderful new legislation, but it's not enough".
Hell I don't even own a black rifle or even a centerfire rifle of any kind anymore.
The musket you carried during the revolution served you well, why change? ๐
Till the LV shooting, never heard of 'em either. Another gizmo I suppose.

Naw, T LEE relies on air power.
Amen......the spirit in the sky. ๐
I never heard of it either.
I'll bet everyone in this post would have a grin on their face if they got a chance to spit a mag full of ammo with a slide fire stock. Not something 99.999999999999999% of us would consider using in a real defensive situation, but a lot of fun used in its intended way.
Heard of them but have no idea how to use one. I don't have anything it might fit on.
agreed. I never heard of them before. I bet they make them illegal.
They already made them illegal in CA a few years ago.
First time for me was on a Hickok45 video and he was definitely having fun. But then, life is good for him.
Looked around yesterday just for S&G's and finally found a couple at OpticsPlanet, I believe. Not buying, besides they had no LH model anyway.
I didn't even know these bump fire gadgets existed before the shooting in Vegas.
I did. But saw one as a excellent way to get arrested and never thought I needed one. Still don't.
My first thought about them was " what a great way to draw unwanted attention".
I shot bumpfire stock once it's fun but I can't afford to blow ammo like that so I don't need one
My brother had one of the little crank devices 18 or so years ago on a 10/22 with hi-cap mags. It was fun but he broke it trying to use it with the safety on. Alcohol was involved off course.
My first thought about them was " what a great way to draw unwanted attention".
Where I live the only attention you'd get would be from all the people wanting to try it out.
I find this very weird, this site is not working, I bet they took it down.

I think there's lots going own thats not being reported.

Try
Slidefire. Something I read about copyright infringement between Bumpfire and Slidefire. I think Bumpfire is defunct.

I had seen them advertised and thought that would be a simple project when I get around to it. Never did, yet!
They're retarded, and a ton of retards get a boner for them.
But [bleep] making them illegal.
They're just about the most annoying thing you can encounter at a public range.

No. Their owners are much more annoying. However, since they typically have more money than sense they leave plenty of once fires brass.
I didn't even know these bump fire gadgets existed before the shooting in Vegas.
Me either but now I'm an expert, and can distinguish the sound of one on a poor quality recording.
Count me in that camp too, charlie.
Pretty cool chit thinks I.

That was mean. kinda funny........but mean.!
Mt. T was just a pup during the revolution.
Now Poobs on the other hand........
I read about it here back in 2012 from someone writing that Diane Feinstein said something about it.

Dude! you just out-Flaved Flave!
tip o' the hat for that!

guess I'm in the minority. One of those "retards" ...!!??
Don't need the stock device to do it,
it's a technique- takes some practice and some disposable income
Really fun to do when you suspect youve got some trespassing bowfags

Because semi automatic fire doesn't faze them? ๐
It would be easier to just machine the parts you need.

Semi-auto fire will make them poop their pants.
Everyone knows all you need to do is cycle a shotgun to make them run!
Even the deaf, dumb and democrat know and what that universal sound of a slide being racked means, it transcends all language barriers too. ๐

Theyโre not trespassers if they have permission. Theyโre your newly acquired cock blockers
Same here, bolts, levers and revolvers have done me fine all these years.
I'm in the same boat. I don't own a semi-auto anything. Bob
The whole AR thing is about as appealing to me as the Kardashians. But that doesn't mean others are into them and I really don't care. The problem I see with this whole thing is if(when) bump stocks are made illegal then what is next? These anti's will not stop - give them an inch and they will take a foot.

Before there were AR's with bumpstocks there were Remington 740's, 1100's and scoped rifles. It'll always be something with the gun ban crowd. They pick a small piece and go to work on it to try to set precedence. Plus, they condition us to the process of dismantling our Constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Me either. But if it doesn't fire a rimmed cartridge or utilize a flint in the ignition system, I generally am not interested.
But to each his own!!!

I wonder what they thought about the original Henry rifle. Must have been some people against the terrible lethality of it.

They said, "What's a guy need with all that ammo,
all I need is one shot."
What was the first repeating rife, I thought it was Winchester? I read fifty years plus ago, the Texas Rangers were among the first to have them. The outlaws said, 'They could shoot all week, and reload on Sunday."

Very doubtful Jim! They were being employed against the South!

Break Out the Puckle Guns!!! Load them with square shot. Fire at the infidels!!
I've shot one. My son got one in a trade and stuck it on his AR. It was fun for about 5 to 10 seconds and the new wore off. All I hit with it was the backstop for our range and that is big. The target I was shooting at was relatively safe. I haven't been interested in shooting one since and I think my son has long since removed it from his AR. All I have ever needed is an aimed shot and I can't do it with that bump fire stock. If I could get a decent trade in value on my AR, I'd get rid of it in a second.
After saying that, I'm not in favor of any Government regulation on firearms or accessories. When the left wants to compromise, it is only the Second Amendment supporters that have to give up some level freedom that is currently protected.
I would add, Spencer's were more common and pretty damn effective!
