Roll Tide! They lead Tennessee 28 to 7 after Tennessee returned an INT for 97 yards in the 3rd Qtr.

Kansas State leads the OU Sooners 21 to 10 at half time. I'd love to see Baker Mayfield get beat again!

Michigan vs Penn State should be a good game! And I hope the 6-0 # 4 ranked TCU can stay Un-defeated against Kansas
BAMA's 2nd string QB just scored a running TD. They lead 38 to 7 in the 4th Qtr.
Bama won 45 to 7. Roll Tide!

Kansas State still leads OU 21 to 20 in the 3rd Qtr

Who would have thunk it? wink
Sooners finally take the lead over K State 28 to 21 with 12 minutes left in the game. I'm betting Baker Mafield will be the next Johnny Football when he heads to the Pros.
Holy Schitt!!!

OU has a high snap on a punt and K State recovers the fumble on OU's 11 yard line! Huge opportunity for K-State to take the lead again!
TD K State! Game tied at 28 all!

KSU will not go away
1st down deep in sooner territory

Cowboys slipped past the horns earlier today. It was quite a nail biter.

TD 'Cats!
TD KState! Tied at 35 all. Great game!
2 minutes left to play!

This is a great game. Bill Snyder is the master.
Posted By: jaguartx Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Looks like the Texan Mayfield is about the best QB in college football.
Posted By: OSU_Sig Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Sooners score late. Looks like they're going to snatch the victory away from KSU.
Congrats to the Sooners. They escaped a close one there!

Can't believe Michigan is down 14 to zip already. Hate to say it but I'm pulling for Michican grin Can't root for the Penn Perverts.
Posted By: OSU_Sig Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
good teams tend to get lucky and the sooners are plenty good.

OU can thank the UT and TAMU black coaches for all the great recruits they stole from across the Red River the last 3 or 4 years!

Oh well. Go Horn Frogs! They are 6-0 with a former Aggie QB Coach Sumlin wasn't smart enough to keep.

Yep
Michigan finally on the score board. Penn leads 14 to 6

And TCU leads Kansas 7 to zip
Go COUGS!

Hope they show up this weekend.
TCU leads 10 to zip and Penn leads Mich. 14 to 6 still
Penn St leads Michigan 21 to 13 at the half

TCU leads Kansas 17 to zip
TCU up 24 to zip at the half. Looks like the Horned Frogs will stay undefeated this week.
GO IRISH!!!! ☘️

Beat them POS thugs from USC.
Not looking good for Harbough and Michigan. Penn Perverts lead 28 to 13 at the start of the 4th Qtr.
Posted By: OSU_Sig Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Irish are curb stomping USC, 49-14 in Q4.

Curb stomping is too good for those low life’s.

Agreed!

TCU leads Kansas 43 to zip at the end of the 3rd Qtr. And the Penn Pervs lead Mich. 42 to 13 with 8 minutes left in the game

UVA's marching band looked great today!
I like it when USC takes it in the shorts.

The Alabama-Tennessee game reminded me of a cat playing with a mouse. Bama could have probably won that game 70-0 if they had wanted to.

This game may have sealed Butch Jones' fate at TN.

I live a few miles north of the Kentucky-Tennessee state line, and our local TV stations are out of Nashville, plus I listen to some of the talk radio sports shows, also out of Nashville. The biggest problem with Tennessee football is that many of the UT fans actually believe that Tennessee is a Top 5 football program. LOL.....what a joke!! They are not, never have been, and never will be. Maybe at the end of a Top 25, but that's only because they're in the SEC. They have become irrelevant in the SEC, and are so far behind the top teams in the conference that it's almost a joke when listening to Vol fans. The biggest problem is not the coach, although he most certainly isn't that good, but it's the fans and their expectations.

I can relate to fans and their expectations, because living in Kentucky, and being a UK basketball fan, I see it every year. Some fans get so caught up in the action, that they become borderline stupid in the way they act. But, the difference between Kentucky basketball and Tennessee football, is that UK is a threat to win a championship almost every year, while UT is not in football. As soon as UT fans realize that, and can face the fact that in most years Alabama is going to beat them, and accept a 9 win season as being good, they might get back on track up there in Knoxville. Until then, a good coach probably isn't going to want the job.
Since nobody else has mentioned them, Air Force won on Friday night in what is a rebuilding/losing season. And Navy got beaten at home, which is almost unheard of.
What about LSU being all over Ole Miss in Oxford? And Darrius Guice running for 278 yards? GEAUX TIGERS.

AZ Wildcats 45-44 over Cal in double overtime to go 5-2. Didn't have that high of expectations this year. One more win for bowl eligibility. Go CATS!!!!

There going to have to have a 9 win season first. Not going to happen this year, and even making a bowl with 6 wins is looking shaky. Tennessee still has games with Kentucky, Southern Miss, Missouri, LSU and Vanderbilt. I don't see them beating LSU, which means they'd have to take 3 of the other 4. That's possible, but I'll believe it when it happens. They'll have to start scoring touchdowns on offense for starters.
Well, My WVU Mountaineers almost gave their game away to Baylor.
I'm just amazed at the odds makers.

Alabama was favored by 37 and won by 38
Posted By: 5sdad Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
No, what would have been amazing would have been if they had won by 36.
Posted By: Teal Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Last year at this time - people called Harbaugh the 2nd best coach in all of college football.

Some even muttered it at the start of the year.

Whom has he beat - exactly? His numbers are almost exact carbon copies of Brady Hoke's.
Posted By: 5sdad Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Yes, but no one does a better job of looking puzzled/pissed at calls.

They should beat Kentucky, Missouri, Southern Miss. and Vandy. I said should, as nothing in the SEC is written on stone.
Posted By: 5sdad Re: College Football Saturday - 10/22/17
Except Alabama winning the conference.

Your Mountaineers and my Cowboys are going to go at it this Saturday in Morgantown. I hope it's an early kickoff. That'll keep the locals from getting too loaded up on moonshine. It'll be a real tough game for us. Not sure what the line is but it wouldn't surprise me to learn WV is favored.

I agree that they should beat all those teams, I'm just not sure they will. We'll see. Tennessee's OT win over Georgia Tech was respectable enough, but their two other wins were over U Mass and Indiana State, who are currently a combined 1-13.

Update: Tennessee lost to Kentucky to go 3-5. This means that they are going to have to beat all three of Southern Miss, Missouri and Vanderbilt in order to get 6 wins for a bowl appearance. They had better beat Southern Miss, but I'm not sure about beating Missouri AND Vandy. We'll see.
Y’all see the azzwhoopin' Georgia laid on Florida yesterday?!?

What a beautiful thing!

All is great in the SEC these days! Bama and UGA at the top of their divisions and national polls! UT right where they deserve to be, at the bottom and trying to figure out how in the hell they're gonna get past Vandy! grin
Butch Jones has been as good as fired.

it could well be that the sec championship game will be a proxy for the national championship. as well as it should be. of course anything could happen between now and then, but it's shapin' up to be a barn burner.

i'll have to admit that the Tide is an odd's on favorite, but stranger things have happened. the dawgs first year true freshman qb from WarTown is definitely raising some eyebrows.
Loving that Mark Richt and the ‘Canes are undefeated as well.

How does that jibe with the SEC being so tough top to bottom?

Great question. After a quick review, the SEC is 34-6 vs. non-conference opponents. A winning percentage of 85%. Those teams at the bottom of the SEC standings still have a winning record outside of the conference.
Posted By: 5sdad Re: College Football Saturday - 10/29/17
A list of those non-conference opponents would be interesting, as it would be for all conferences.

The answer is that they're not, at least not as much as they were a few years ago. Once upon a time Alabama, LSU and Georgia could beat anybody and Ole Miss, Texas A&M and Mississippi State were not far behind. Now LSU is recovering, and the other three have dropped a notch or two. Still a strong conference, but not at the dizzying heights it once was.

Even at the conference's peak Vanderbilt was low on the totem pole and Tennessee hasn't been a national threat for a decade.
