For those of you in that part of the country exactly what is up his ass?

Other than Trumps fist.
Apparently showing his true RINO self.
Me thinks he's committing political suicide by Trump.

Could be he expects he's Swamp buddies to come and campaign for him. It will be a true barometer of the voters feelings. Swamp vs. Trump. I'd not go with the Swamp. Trump has been resilient.
Swampman. He just backed out of his re-election campaign.
He's not running again for senate, so he's RINO'ing out his lame duck session. Current guess is he's going to try for governor of Tennessee next year. Sad thing is Tennessee is purple enough he will likely win.
I know plenty of people who won't vote for him for anything ever again in the clarksville area, after showing his true colors recently.
Napoleon complex. Short guy w thin skin.

Ah, not running for re-election? He's positioning himself for a top paying gig as a regular Trump-bashing guest on MSNBC or CNN.
I wouldn't imagine that anyone believed that those in the swamp would go quietly.

I still am unsure as to how this Trump thing will all work out in the long run.

But I will forever be grateful that his Presidency has laid bare the depth of the corruption in Government.
He got exposed lately for getting some kickback for over a million dollars on a tax scheme.

I also think failing to get Strange elected has made him see the light that its time to cash in his chips.
He most likely knew that there would be a primary opponent[Blackburn] and saw the writing on the wall.

Bob calls Trump un presidential while he votes to put Americans out of work by increasing muzxy immigration by quadrupling the H1b program from 65,000 ragheads a year to 250,000. Unreal.

I just called (from Texas) and told a nice lady there what i thought of him.

I suspect there is a lot of truth to that. Tennessee is pretty much a sold Red state, but with the Blacks voting 10 times each in Memphis, and Nashville becoming a leftist haven, a well known Democrat might make a strong showing against a weak Republican.
I will not ever vote for Corker again.
This country is in dire straights and Trump is doing what the Gop said they wanted.

Have you considered calling his office and leaving a message that you planned to support any future opposition he may have? Its a thought.

always did like Blackburn. hope she continues to promote the cause.
Bob Corker sold himself out to the country club crowd. He was college roommate to Jimmy Haslam owner of the Cleveland Browns and brother to Tennessee's Governor Bill Haslam. For those that don't know it, Jimmy Haslam is one of the main owners of Flying J which is in court right now for a variety of reasons stemming from management.

Corker is knee deep in a variety of issues that leave a putrid smell. From Luther Strange to sweetheart deals to his pro-obammy support of the Iran deal-- this guy will not get the support of Tennesseans. He is a never-Trumper. Tennesse cannot get rid of Corkscrew or Alexander fast enough. Both should resign in shame except that Bill Haslam will appoint another RINO.

Get ready for the battlecry---Go Marsha!!!
When is the jack weasel's term up????? Not that I am fawning over our GA Senators either, but for crying out loud Corker sucks!

Mark in GA
Well there you go. Thanks for clearing the air a little folks.

i've been doing that for quite a while.
Interestingly, back toward the end of August, I received a phone call one night from a polling outfit.

The lady asked several questions about whether or not I approved of Trump, the Senate, House, etc.

Eventually, the questions came around to my voting for Bob Corker, among other potential primary opponents (oddly, though I don't remember the names, Marsha Blackburn was not among them). I told the lady that unless he did some serious explaining of his speech concerning Charlottesville, I'd see a democrat take his seat before I voted for him, at least I'd know where I stood with the democrat and that Bob Corker had obviously listened to a totally different speech after the Charlottesville incident than I had.
She seemed at least interested in what I had to say and we kept talking. I told her that I didn't think that the G.O.P., in their glass bubble, realized that Trump and his policies were more popular with what was once the Republican base than they (the G.O.P. Senate and House) were.

She indicated that she had been hearing that quite a bit.

Glad I had the opportunity to do my small part.

I'd not doubt he'll make a run at the Governor's Mansion, I have little doubt he'll come in second in the primary.

Currently, I think most of the state is wishing we could pull Bill Frist out of retirement and make him 20 years younger, summon F.D.T. from the grave, and send them both back to Washington. Not that they didn't have their problems, but, compared to the two we have now..................

Mitch McConnell's finger, probably.
I've worn out the keypad writing to Coker, I don't get replies anymore.

Marsha Blackburn is from my district and I too write her a bunch. She'll win as senator.
