Would this be the same FSU team that started the year ranked #3, then lost to Alabama, Miami and Clemson. No shame losing to any one of those three, but ALL three? Top that with losses to NC State, Louisville and Boston College and they had to struggle to be bowl eligible. FSU has had many good teams and will again, but this was not a good year for them.
No offense to Southern Miss, but beating them is not a big deal. Heck, Tennessee beat them.

Your right. FSU sucked. I was thinking of UCF, University of Central Florida. Must have been my dyslexia kicking in
Very entertaining game. But I was expecting both teams to come out for the second half wearing ice skates just to get some traction. Dear Lord in Heaven, I can't think of a WORSE venue for late December football than Yankee Stadium. To be there you either had a close family member on the field or just have little to nothing going on in your life. Everything inside the bowl must have been frozen like seal guts on an iceberg. And for those unfortunate enough to bear the cold it'd take a pair of 8x40s just to see the field.
I couldn't stand listening to that broad announce that game....had to change it. Nothing at all against women....her voice and style just drove me nutty!

Agreed Buddy! Can't stand to listen to that wench!
Hokies just scored. OKies still lead 27 to 21. Five minutes left in the game.
I'm down on the NFL right now. However, I'd like to see the Giants draft Mason Rudolph. I think he's going to be a really good NFL QB, better then people think. He's a big strong kid, 6' 5", 230. Probably won't ever watch him play though.
Mason Rudolph is a senior. Big arm and is 6'5" and weighs about 240. He'll have a lot of adjusting to do but is a great leader and studies intently. I believe he'll have a chance to have a good career in the NFL.

Agreed! Seems like a good kid, too. Lots of NFL teams in dire need of a good QB right now.
Looks like OSU has VA rolling over now. Wheres OSU Sig on this game, Neal? Probably there.
Just got back from a watch party. Great win tonight over a worthy VA Tech team.
Is Rudolf a jr or senior? He's big and has a great arm too. He should go way high in the NFL Draft. Hope he doesn't get drafted by Cleveland.
Just as long as OSU stuffs OU next fall.
I predict OU will suck next year without Baker Mayfield! Hope so, anyway!
I have a short memory and cant remember when OU sucked. Wish i could. They get the best Texans money can buy. Maybe the new coaches at Texas and A&M can change that

He's a great kid. Does a lot of faith based work with youth. As a matter of fact, this entire graduating senior class is a remarkable group on and off the field. I'm very proud of the number of academic All conference and All Americans that we have this year.

Some good receivers and running backs will be there but we lose Rudolph, Washington, Ateman, Lacy and several defensive starters. The good news is we have some young guys who will be able to step in and perform. A new QB, either the backup this year or a kid from Denton we just signed who is remarkable. I think he's an early enrollee so he'll get a spring and summer head start on the others. But if I had to sum it up, I'd say we won't really know what we'll be until next September.
Neal, OSU, as good as TCU can move the ball on the ground, and as good as the defense is working, why doesnt Long go for the long pass on 3and 1 on the short side of the field and just go for the 1st on 4th and one if they dont make it? I mean, stick it in their face and be agressive.

John "Man Boobs" Blake was the last time they sucked.
Been enjoying the local Alamo Game after an enchilada breakfast and a range day with my son's. Fire is lit here and a drink sits to the left... Can't complain. At all.
Not sure what happened to Bryce Love's hand but he left the field bleeding profusely from his left hand/thumb area. They guy has seen a lot of pain this year.
Since neither team were ranked, the Bowl Committes should have selected TAMU vs UT to play in a real Texas Bowl in AT&T / Jerry World and could have sold every damn seat in the house. That is, if it's all about the revenue. Which it is.
And T-Tech vs SMU would have made much more sense for the Cotton Bowl, or even T-Tech vs TCU or Houston.
I'm the other way around. I dislike anything California (blue state) and don't wish them to have anything to cheer about. Besides, if it weren't for Ohio St. beating Wisconsin, AL wouldn't be in the final 4.
Wisconsin vs the Hurricane's in the Orange Bowl ought to be a good game tomorrow. I hope Georgia mops the turf with Baker Mayfield and the Sooners Monday. And, of course watch BAMA kick Clemson's ass.
The TCU game was right silly last night. I turned back on when it was 21-10. Hell, I even got the wife to watch the last quarter. Wake Forest/ A&M was a fun game, I wish A&M won it.

Why call it Jerry World....the City of Arlington owns the place....not Jerry, he pays rent!
A&M almost pulled it off with everything they have going on, they played a great game for sure.

Yep. Good game. I predict a much improved Aggie team next year. Lots of good players returning, and smarter play calling by Jimbo. Coach Sumlin's play calling was abysmal and cost us several games. Can't wait for next season!

No doubt Scott. TCU game was the best bowl game I've seen so far.

You obviously haven't had the "pleasure" of watching WI's QB this year. I suspect Miami's front will shut down the run and Hornibrook will give the ball to the other guys on multiple occasions.

Wake Forrest is a basketball school. That was a most embarrassing loss.
Really, a team between head coaches right now showed up and played pretty good game I think. Even non football powers have good years or good days once in a while....like Iowa St. in 2011.
They are still pushing Sam Darnold as the #1 Draft pick. Anybody notice when they showed his stats at halftime, they didn't show the Int and the fumble.?
Definitely a conspiracy at ESPN to get him to go first.
They talked about him fumbling and throwing an Int. at halftime. They said that's what you get with Sam Darnold....as in he's gonna do that at the next level too.
I think Mason Rudolph is going to make a better pro QB then a lot of people think.

Me too! And I'd wager a huge sum that Baker Mayfield gets drafted first by CLEVELAND if I was a betting man. Poor Bastid!

Yeah, anyone getting drafted by Cleveland would suck. They just can't or don't care about figuring it out. They have/had pretty dedicated fans there too. Sucks for them as well.

Darnold is no Carson Wentz for sure...........he might eventually make it at the next level, but it will take a lot of work & he might end up being another Matt Leinart, hard to say.
I haven't watched Rudolph a whole lot, but when I've seen him he's just looked a little better than average but he's got size, arm just looks average, same for accuracy. But as I said, didn't see him that much. He had a poor game against OU for sure as I remember.
Just to stir the pot. Big 10 is 4-0 and the SEC is 0-4 in bowl games so far.
Kentucky should have beat Northwestern. The officiating was horrible, as they ejected Kentucky's best player over as stupid a call as I've ever seen. But, then Kentucky has a coach named Mark Stoops, and that's pretty much why they can't get over the hump.
Interesting that watching college football is fine here but when the very same guys go pro it is all bad. Any pro rookies taking the knee?
You do realize that the chance college players making it to the NFL is slim to none don't you? Just a few of the guys we're watching will be able to take a knee at the next level. The rest will be watching just like everyone else.
