Not only did not all of the students in my youngest grandson's class not walkout in protest
for the FL shootings, but when the snowflakes returned to class the ones that did not walkout had their own protest.

They refused to give them the notes for the class (s) they missed. I understand they got real pissy about it. LOL

That's great, i'm glad to hear we have some old school kids still around.
Great news, I asked my kids if any of that happened in their classes here on the western slope of Colorado. They said it was like any school day the next few days after the shooting but there was talk of the shooting. I would like to know the percentage of the class that walked out pumpgun?
if i was the teacher, I would have a pop quiz as soon as they returned to class
Yep. Pop quiz

Have one while theyre out, give em a zero.
See if they notice a difference in their classes on these dates.

National School Walkout on March 14 and the March for Our Lives on March 24.

Regardless of my feelings of their reasoning it'll be interesting to see what kind of following there will be.
By the dates of the organized events a lot of emotional waters will have passed under the bridge.

If all goes as normal, time heals, people forget, short term memory, yadda yadda yadda.

It should mostly fade by then.

The youth are financed well enough but can the turn that money into a across the nation following? We'll see.

The power of todays social media may surprise us all.

Again, all current reasoning aside...it's not relevant to my comment..

If they are able to organize and make it work, it'll be a great life lesson for the kids.
Just to know if they join forces and stand up and be heard as a effective group they can make changes within a nation so large and so often appearing out of control.

Better that them just sitting back and being good little sheepel all their lives and eating s h i t...
No walkouts at any of my kids schools.

Maybe the 10 degree weather and 6" of snow on the ground had something to do with it?

there's so many factors affecting outcomes now. it's hard to judge. or predict.

when youth and emotions begin to intertwine, and interact we know the chemistry is happening.

kinda reminds me of the affirmation vietnam days in the mid 60's, and by the end of the 60's it was anti-war protests every day.

it took till nearly 1975 to begin the solvation of the issues.

now, here we are talking about guns. most protestors probably have not held a gun at all?
Maybe if they put forward some good, well reasoned proposals on how to protect and fund the schools someone would take them serious. Just bitching and using the mainstream medias chants about gun control does nothing for their cause or safety.
How 'bout if they scream with spittle flying and stamp their feet?

According to my grandson only 200 out of 2600 walked out and then only for 17 mins.
