Thanks!
good info. i'll look mine up.
Thanks again.
This page also has other serial numbers for guns made by Ithaca, LeFever, and some others.

Double check on this, but suggest you add a note for 1962 that Ithaca started with truly replace/switch barrels at # 855,000. That may make a difference to a buyer who wants differing choke selections for these fine pump guns.

Also, (double check this too) A good while back I asked a screw-in choke vendor about an installation on one of my early 16 Featherlights. He advised the barrel thickness wasn't sufficient for a drill/tap. Dunno if that is still the case for screw-in installations nowadays. Solved that problem by buying a couple more 16 Featherlights.
I'm no authority. I just found the serial number page when I was attempting to establish the year of manufacture for my own 37.

I suppose one could get any information they wanted by contacting the page that I linked in this thread.
Recently picked up a 16 ga 37 w/poly choke the shoots and handles better than expected. 1942 per the page above.
Interesting that I have one whose number, 37135XXXX, is not on the list.

That means it was manufactured somewhere in the Bermuda Triangle.

Russians!
Russian Jews perhaps?
And here I thought it was probably contracted by the CIA for some black op.

I found another page which shows 1973 for your gun.

Thanks again! I bought it in '73, so it was fresh off the line.
I think the other page got jumbled at that point because of the four asterisk situation described at the bottom of the page.
Thanks B, just looked up my dad's, which was originally grandpa's, and it's a 1951 version.
Thanks for the info!
