Best Robin Hood ever.

Connery long ago came out as very anti-guns and anti-Second Amendment.

A very wealthy, entertaining actor, but very left wing. Comes from Ireland, you know, so what would you expect from an actor from Ireland?

I like his movies, saw him in a restaurant in Houston years ago, he was friendly to everyone that came up to him.

The only James Bond !!!

Don't know about Connery's politics, but I like his movies . . . same for Liam Neeson . . . I'm pretty sure he is a liberal, but I like his movies. Same for Matt Damon (Bourne series) and Tom Hanks.

I prefer "him" on SNL Jeopardy. (Although he was great in "Red October".)

I'm wondering how either group will react to your term "close".

He is THE James Bond, but he has also made some...uh...questionable career choices.

Zardoz comes to mind.

Sean Connery as Zed, wearing what the UK's Channel 4 described as "a red nappy, knee-high leather boots, pony tail and Zapata moustache."

Liked him in a lot of films. Never heard he was an anti, 'specially since his gun play earned him a living. Some of my favorites:

The Longest Day
All the Bond films
The Hill
Murder on the Orient Express
Robin Hood
A Bridge Too Far
Indiana Jones
The Untouchables
Highlander
Hunt For Red October
Finding Forrester
The Rock
The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen

Laffin. When I fuged up, I got a lot more than that. I had it coming. A clean bitch slap made me rethink my moves.

Nowadays it's 5 to 10, but meals are on the house.

He is the ONLY James Bond in my book. Although Pierce Bronson wasn’t bad. My favorite Sean Connery movie role was in “The Untouchables” where he played the tough ole Irish Cop helping to bring down Capone. His best line was “Thus Endith the Lesson”
Posted By: Mac284338 Re: Sean Connery? - 04/04/18
His acting made him James Bond. Trumps acting makes him the original Biff in Back to th Future...

Thanks. I stand corrected. Perhaps Connery addled his brain while in Scotland gorging on too much of that haggis stuff. Last time I was there and ate some, I knew why the Scots lost at Culloden. They couldn't fight because of bloated, bilious bellies. Bad stuff. laugh

The Man Who Would Be King

Slap a woman if they needed it
Or a dog
Or another man
Some people need slapping.

Though Ian Fleming thought James Bond should look like Hogie Carmichael, who was always kool

They are all anti guns and according to history the Scots are descendants of the Irish. They make good beer and whiskey and like fighting, at least they got some class.

I liked him better in Princess Bride.

While Connery was doing James Bond, Dean Martin made several movies where he played super spy Matt Helm. They were spoofs on 007 with gadgetry and spy stuff way beyond what Bond did. They were pretty funny.

............... The indigenous people of Scotland, known as the Picts, were believed to have originally come from the Scandinavian area of the world. The Picts were the ones who halted the Roman Empires expansion into that part of the world. The Pictish tribes eventually got bred out of existence with others who eventually wound up in what was to become Scotland. But they're definitely anti-gun........ Couple years ago Scotland even mandated gun registration for air rifles and had an amnesty period to either turn in or register your air gun.

I'm inclined to agree. If you read Casino Royale, the book not the movies, Bond is described as somewhat dark and moody. Dalton was the only one who portrayed bond as such.
For the record, EVERY actor who has played James Bond so far has been very anti-gun.
Another bit of trivia, seems Rodger Moore was slightly upset when he learned one of the women he made love to in one of the movies was a transgender. Google Tula for the whole story.

""Adventures of Robin Hood" was the best Hollywood version for the kids.

"Robin and Marion" is for the grown ups.
