When I was a teenager my father told me about an American POW who was told he could go home but he had refused as it would be unfair to the other prisoners. He subsequently suffered five more years of imprisonment and torture.

I thought John McCain was an honorable man then, and I believe he remained an honorable man until his death. I don't have to agree with all of his politics to recognize that a man who suffered so much for his country deserves respect at his passing.

I respect those whom have honorably served, but that doesn't give one a free pass the rest of their life, just because he's a veteran. I give McSain's political career zero respect. He was only interested in himself.

Myself, I'm holding out to hear the headlines, that MaXine Waters, Nancy Pelousy, et al, were all shot in separate drive bys... as collateral damage victims....
