Florida Democratic gubernatorial nominee Andrew Gillum called for the formation of a confederacy on Wednesday during an appearance on CNN which drew praise from host Chris Cuomo, who said he had never "heard that before."

Gillum's remark came after the media portrayed Florida Republican gubernatorial nominee Ron DeSantis as a racist after he warned Florida's voters that embracing socialism would "monkey up" the state's economy.

Cuomo asked how Gillum would pay for his socialist agenda, noting that the "costs are crippling."

"Well, let me tell you," Gillum replied. "I think for Florida to move in that direction, we would have to do it as a confederation of states. We could not do it by ourselves solely here in the state of Florida because it would collapse the system. We would only attract the sickest of patients and it wouldn't work."

"I like that confederacy of states," Cuomo replied. "I haven't heard that before."

Imagine what the reaction from the media and the Democratic party would be like if a Republican would have called for a confederacy.

Cuomo is a very useful idiot for these socialist morons.

Gillum is a product of my fair city of Gainesville, FL. He is currently mayor of the most dangerous city in Florida, the State Capital, Tallahassee. He is under investigation by the FBI for corruption. So is his brother. Over 90% of his campaign funding is from George Soros.

Can I correctly translate that to mean that he wants SC, GA, AL, and LA to pay for FL's socialist program?

Have done a fair amount of reading up on Gillum in the last few days, as the election now has boiled down to him vs DeSantis (Trump's and my guy).

To put it mildly, Gillum is very bad juju for FL. He's supporting everything from a new tax on business to $15 minimum wage. But, offers no solution on how to pay for all his feel good socialist freebees. Nothing good can come of him. Vote DeSantis.

So what are his real chances of winning?
