Bridge in Kingsland already washed out.

The Hwy 71 bridge in Llano in danger too.

Over 10 inches of rain in already saturated areas.

It's all headed to Lake LBJ and beyond.

People are in danger here again.

Dammit. I am heading down to Kerrville from north of there in a few days. Dad is in the hospital and rain is supposed to keep coming. I have to cross the Llano, the Lampassas, the Colorado, the Brazos to get there. Sister is right near the Guadeloupe I have to cross to see her and nephew- who I wanted to hunt with, is actually on the Medina. Was pre-occupied thinking about Dad and didn't even consider the flooding.

Sure hope your dad gets better.

The Kingsland bridge is gonna throw a monkey wrench into everything from Llano to Marble Falls.

Highway Dept will probably get moving PDQ on it though.

Thats not the 1431 bridge that runs thru town. That’s the bridge that cuts over to
SH 71. Remember when the SH 16 bridge washed out at Sandy creek there at Oxford btwn Llano and Fritztown. Allnthat went right into Kingsland.

Feast or famine! laugh

That one's not coming my way on the Llano River. My brother's ranch is in Llano though.

So wet here, I'm afraid I'll set off the flood warnings if I take a leak outside.

We are still behind on annual rainfall by about 12" right now.

We stay dry for months at a time, and then you think you need an ark...

I think that's the route my brother takes from Austin to his ranch sometimes. He may wanna stay on 71 for awhile.

He may need to turn around and cross at Marble Fall on the new bridge on 281. Go all way to 29’at Burnet and head to llano. If lake Buchanan isn’t over 29 there at the lighthouse slough. They may have the 16 bridge closed in Llano !!!

Man I much prefer going 16 but looks like 281 it will be. How the heck can we have driest summer and wettest fall in same year?

Don't say it......

Yeah! Id stay off 16. Just spoke with rancher friend lives on east side of Devils toenail on Sandy creek. Just downstream from the 16 crossing. Says Sandy is as high as he’s ever seen it. So Im sure that 16 bridge is history too!
I bet this won't be the only one.

BURNET COUNTY, Texas — A body has been found in the water at the Colorado River following "historic" flooding in Central Texas, according to Burnet County officials.

Officials said the body was found at about noon on Tuesday.
Its always like that here, then next week many will be dry creek beds again. Most of us know to avoid low areas because of the run off.

My wife and I stay for the winter on the Colorado River arm of LBJ and have been receiving pictures of the massive damage caused by the Colorado backing up
and taking on water from the Llano. No current to mention as of now, just lots of water, the Inks Lake Damn is closed. Don't know how Buchanon is fairing water wise.

The property next to the house my buddy rents for the winter had the boat break thru the top of the roof on the boat dock and float away.

The owner of our winter rental house figures there might be water damage there and that both of his boats have been destroyed as well.

Terrible situation.
