Why would you part with a thing like that??
Been in the gunsafe for close to 20 years and I've never even dry fired it. I'm getting old and need to start thinning them out.
Would you take $600 shipped and insured?

For the soft case that I was going to ship it in. I wouldn't sell the barrel for that, but I know you are bullshxxxxxg.
Wow it seems fitting that a rifle like that is residing in Poetry TX... how much does it weigh?
Great traditional looking rifle!....................CRF and 3 position safety.............Hope u find a good home for it.

You know, I've never weighed it until today. It appears and handles less than it's 8lb with no scope, but with the scope rings.
Would but that I had the wherewithal......
I think I once had a dream wherein I built a rifle that nice; then I woke up and had to face the truth. GD
that checkering is to die for.....
$600?
$700
You guys are out of line!
I am offering $100.
We all will get (and deserve) the same answer and that way when we all are told to go preform sexually impossible acts upon ourselves, I will feel like I made a far better deal than either of you two.
Joking aside, THAT is how a classic rifle should be made.
VERY nice!
You fellers are just bumping up my post, thanks.
Beautiful rifle sir. The good news is, you can rest assured, Big Stick won't buy it...
Probably not from beautiful WV.

Correct, he shoots his.
That's gorgeous. I might even say I think I've seen that one on the cover of Rifle.

Of course I was. I would have a VERY hard time letting that beauty go if it were mine.
Some rifles are meant to be family heirlooms and passed down generation to generation. That one surely qualifies.
It’s a safe bet that Butch has burned more powder than 99% of the members of this forum. When you reach your golden years you have less use for things you don’t use.
This thread is like the phone calls I get from my father. He calls me and asks "Is it okay if I call you later?"
Beautiful rifle. I wonder how many man hours it took to create? Good luck with the sale.

Correct, he shoots his load in my mouth.
Thanks in advance for not posting pics.
You have excellent taste in firearms Butch, and had I the coin I would certainly purchase that rifle.
Butch,
List it on GunBroker w/ a healthy reserve.
Eliminates the window shoppers & B.S. cheap skates!
Keep me in mind when the push feeds become available!
This rifle was built by David Christman, ACGG, except James Anderson, ACGG, cut the half octagon and half round barrel.
Wow gun porn right before Xmas ? Always thought you were a decent guy Butch.
I can see it now Deflave unwrapping that bad boy Xmas morn, while telling the kids “ quit your whining, you got a pez dispenser didn’t you? If you’re good this year you might get some pez candy to put in it “

You guys need to get your wife on this.
The metalwork alone is extensive and superb, the wood to die for; a thing of beauty and I'll bet it shoots as well. That checkering pattern would be a bear to do. Lots of opportunities for overruns.
Would but that I had the wherewithal......
The flesh is willing but the pocket book is weak.
