Wednesday will be 3 months post Total Knee Replacement for my wife. We celebrated w/ a 7.4 mile hike up Cleve Creek in the Schell Creek Range near Ely, Nv. 2100' of elevation gain/loss on FS 2track, she felt and did great. She had an excellent surgeon and did her PT religously.

It was a gorgeous day w/ temps in the 40s and brilliant sunshine in a spectacular setting. Life is good and I am grateful.

Great for both of you. It is such a great feeling and seems like a big accomplishment. It really affirms your decision to do the replacement.

Thanks guys, she is a sherpa. It went so much better than we anticipated. Like Tom Petty said "If you never slow down you never grow old"grin

How do you beat that?

Nice, only three months, that sounds like more than most would do in that time frame.

Come to think of it, that's more than most would do, without surgery!!

Love the Schell Creek Range, beautiful country . I've hunted Cleve Creek. Snow?
Good for you both staying active, especially this time of year.

Congrats..... Great to hear about it. You mentioned two very important things. A good surgeon and following the PT...... I've seen too many folks who slack off on their PT and/ or just don't do what they should following an operation like that. You have to listen to the medical pros and do what they tell you. Some folks expect the surgeon to just wave his magic wand and they will be cured. It don't work that way for operations like that.

Very little this year, but I have still managed to get stuck twice. We both appreciate winter, last January was mostly spent in W. Yellowstone hunting wolves in Idaho and Montana. You need a snow machine for that country.

Everyday is a gift if you stay positive.

Clark, you are perceptive beyond your years.

what a good deal! There may be one of those in my future. I hope it turns out as well when the time comes.
