Apparently it had also attacked a nearby horse earlier in the day. Rabies I’m betting.

I would have selected a 9 iron. And started wailing on that thing.

Honey, you're not going to believe this but I was attacked by a cougar on the back nine.

And that hickey on my neck is from working on an exhaust pipe.

Muzzie bobcat??
Smart bobcat.....too bad it wasn’t a cougar or grizzly, everything hates golfers. The universe is fundamentally opposed to golfers and bicycle riders over the age of 16. 😉

Never realized there was so much violence in golf! memtb
I am way out in the NC wilderness. Just four months ago I saw a bobcat at my place, first one I have seen up here.
I was walking on my driveway, about 10 am, he was walking towards me. About a 40 pound cat.
That damn cat did a 180 in about 1/3 of a second and he was gone.

I had noticed that, last summer, I had about 12 wild rabbits running around my house. You could walk right up to them we considered them as "pets."
And then, mysteriously, about last September the bunnies were all gone.

Bobcat food, I bet. Damn, I would not want to tangle with a 40 pound wild cat.

With a life expectancy of 6 months, they're food for everything.
