Gitter'done yeehaaaw , they probably forgot to hollar yeehaaaw that'll get you everytime .

Years ago I worked a second job in biloxi grand casino , there was a lady Esther 40ish years old . She jumped Ocean Springs bridge [tried] to keep from being late for work .
Motorist said she drove around the gate stomper'er to the floor board sailed through the air just like the Duke Boys just fine . The bridge doesn't raise up like there's a hinge where it starts it gets a big gap once it get up . Bigger gap the higher it goes so she came down the landing ramp flew into the Gap smashed into the steel wall the land ramp side rests on . She broke both her arms .collar bone , one leg, knocked most of her front teeth out and more . She was late for work by about five monthes . When I heard about it I thought it was a joke .

I was stopped on Popps Ferry bridge sitting stopped in left hand lane - took the time to look over some paperwork , heard a big noise and mustang car was moving fast with the drivers side tires two feet off the ground then bounced hard bottoming out sparks flew . Bounced again both drivers side tires came off the road several inches . He coasted to a stop with white steam coming off the car .Never heard anything more on that one .

I always wanted to try it still hacen't got it off the bucket list though .
I've worked on that bridge and the picture of the bridge, in the article, is not the Black Bayou Bridge. The Black Bayou Bridge is a pontoon bridge, not a bascule bridge.

I wonder if the passenger had the same enthusiasm as the driver.

Please do not obscure a good story with facts, Oldman3.
