We enjoy the WKRP reruns, but every time their opening theme sticks in my head and won’t leave.

“Secret Agent Man” was a huge hit for Johnny Rivers.

Couple of my favs already posted so Ill go with another one. I learned to play this on the sax in high school.

If you'll notice all the different version used over the course of the show. Opening and Closing played in order.

My final post is the theme from a local outdoors show from my home town. it has been on the air for almost 40 years. The words really do ring home to me. Its not a great video and the sound could be better but, its the clip I found. You can find years of available shows at www.906outdoors.com.

Sgt Preston of the Yukon!!!!!

Yes! Sgt. Preston of the Yukon and his Faithful Dog, King! My brother and i listened on the radio in the afternoons after school to that wonderful show and loved the theme music. One of the great themes. I used to visualize Sgt. Preston and King racing behind their dog sled across the vast, snowcovered Canadian mountains and forests tracking down the bad guys or rescuing beautiful damsels in distress. "Mush you huskies! Mush!!"

And don't forget this one. You young whippersnappers probably won't remember the radio show and subsequent teevee show on which this theme was played.

I wrote for Airwolf and I can't even remember what the theme music sounded like. Damn! That was 35 years ago! Well, as the old adage goes, "Time flies even when you're not having fun."

My vote the for WORST them music is for that old Raymond Burr show, "Ironside". Just awful.
